I agree with both MrFredGSanford & yahleah, most of these people probably come from the baptist church or someplace like that. Therefore thats all they know. But there were times when applause was natural but not every few minutes, this is not entertainment but education.

one time dr ben stopped his lecture and told a group of people that kept saying amen, he told them to shut the hell up,,,it is annoying,,,i want to hear what is being said,,,i am a very serious student and the clapping and chitter chat,,,and if you are at a important lecture why would you bring your baby,,,you know that baby gone make noise,,and aint gone be able to sit down, why cant you get a baby sitter,,,come on
