This song reminds me at my grandpa. When I was a kid & with him he'd always sing a song for me before I went to sleep. Mostly beautiful songs from The Turtles or Mama's & the Papa's, Jim Reevs, etc...but also naughty song like:'The cabinboy, the cabinboy that dirty little nipper, he ligned his ass with broken glass and circumcised the skipper'. Then we'd roll off from the bed from laughing. Few months later he died of cancer.
