The refugees in Thailand is true of you but the lao communist is different. their words and actions are NEVER matched. Not all the returnees will be persecuted but some of the heads or leaders will some day be called for any kind of training and will never return.
I can understand a host country saying, "We can't host you anymore." What I think is outrageous is for a host country to force people to return to the country & persecution from which they fled. I would have thought that WWII's infamous "Operation Keelhaul" would have shown the horror and folly of forced repatriation as a policy.

True True. But I should have elaberated. What I mean is they should have been treated as reguler military and taken out when everyone else was extracted. My grandfather who was Special Forces during the war is still bitter to this day. He saved many Hmong lives and many saved his ass countless times and he could do nothing for them when the war was over. He considered them his comrades just as anyone else, to him they are POWS who where left behind the same as the GIs.
It's great to know that good people still survived and remembered. I respect him highly. Since you know the bitterness of your grandfather, imagine yourself how bitterness these left behind so-called comrades or POWs feels. How about those who are now in the US fighting to voice a concern about these people but the US and UN are turning blind eyes and death ears to? How about General vang Pao's case? Is it a legit of truth or just another CIA game they want to play with people's mind?

It was heard a few days ago that the americans says that the hmongs are terrorist...the hmongs are NOT terrorist and what General Vang Pao did was to protect the hmong at Laos. American says that we he did was wrong, but what the americans don't know is that they too go to war for what? To protect their country and their people, so General Vang Pao shouldn't be put so low because he was just doing the same thing to the hmongs as well.

Who said anything about us being Chinese? I was just stating what I read where they said there was two brothers, one was named Hmong and the other is named China. And the brother named Hmong is the older brother of the two. It doesn't mean that Hmong is Chinese. If you look at it that way then it could mean that Chinese is Hmong.

I can understand a host country saying, "We can't host you anymore." What I think is outrageous is for a host country to force people to return to the country & persecution from which they fled. I would have thought that WWII's infamous "Operation Keelhaul" would have shown the horror and folly of forced repatriation as a policy.

This whole situation could have been avoided if, after Vietnam war all Hmong who worked with CIA. Where granted passports to America as payment for their services to US Military. Its only fair. Actually, some of the US CIA allies during this so-called Secret War during the Vietnam War in Laos were granted passports to America as a payment result for their loyalty and honorable services to the US military; however, only these group of people who never made it across the Mekong River either because they took the wrong route, fought in combat w/ enemy interference, having families left behind, drown swimming across the Mekong, trapped in the jungle, etc. They are still there fighting...

True True. But I should have elaberated. What I mean is they should have been treated as reguler military and taken out when everyone else was extracted. My grandfather who was Special Forces during the war is still bitter to this day. He saved many Hmong lives and many saved his ass countless times and he could do nothing for them when the war was over. He considered them his comrades just as anyone else, to him they are POWS who where left behind the same as the GIs.
