Listen, when you are told to leave you are a trespasser and any representative has the legal right to use force to remove you. That maybe the case. I was informed that I was banned from the store, not the area surrounding it. And the atm is the property of the Royal Bank of Scotland. You appear to be missing the point, if I launched a claim, the only evidence would be on their CCTV. What is to stop them denying my claim of assault and battery? If they said the tapes had been wiped, I would not have a legal leg to stand on. As it is, I now have an admission. In addition to a potential libel claim.
