In 20 years there will probably be cars like this that can drive themselves while we take a nap in the driver's seat :), and when you want to drive you can control it with your mind.

They have already done experiments allowing paralyzed people to control robotic limbs through thought and researchers to control moths, all with a microchip bridging the connection with more efficiency than ever before. As technology exponentially improving as it is, who knows ten, twenty years from now?

Get the Neurosky MindKit Pro kit, an infrared controlled car, a PC controlled infrared transmitter and you're there! (All possible, all available). Neurosky is the brain interface used in the new mind control toys. They have a developers kit for $700 USD. If you want to use it on a real car you'll have to do a bit more work. :)
