  • I feel like 4 year old again.

  • Wasnt this game developed by Blue Sky? The same company that now does the ICE AGE movies? I guess they don't do games anymore.

  • What a classic game! The best JP game. (Well this and the Rampage Edition, though the rendered Stop-Motion dinos/Raptors in this version are top.) Wish they would remake this game/a JP game for today's consoles!

  • 0:22 is that the raptor screaming "YAAOOO" while kicking the door down?

  • Just read most of the comments. Probably the only reason I haven't killed myself yet (nothing to do with the apocalypse) is awesome comments, and conversations with total strangers that know exactly what the eff you are talking about and thought the same thing at one point. Haha this is awesome

  • Bob Bakker was my favorite Paleontologist growing up. I wanted to be like him hahahahahaha. And I never was able to beat this game. The fools with tazers on full charge always hurt me in the end. Oh and the furthest I got with Dr.Grant was the raft. I could never figure out how to pass the Brachiosaurus part

  • whats that random square of letters at the beginning of the video?

  • @HugoYoot It says "WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL"

  • I still hold this game cartridge in my room. Sometimes, when everybody already sleep, i turn on my Sega Mega Drive and play this game. In my opinion, it's one of the best 2d action games ever

  • @Martyhero "Dr. Bob"Bakker

  • SEGA!!...BURP! LOL

  • Someone get that dog out of the dig site, he'll bury the fossils you just dug up!

  • Dr. Robert T. Bakker is a cornerstone of modern paleontology. When I saw him in this ad when I was seven, I totally flipped out at the awesomeness. Thanks for the nostalgia burst.

  • SEGA!

  • Lol at the shredding guitar. I love how Sega's marketing tried so desperately to seem super extreme and edgy.

  • WTF isnt that bit at 0:19 with the volcano from rampage edition?

  • @YoJimBoHugabaJoe No, it's the canyon level of Sega Genesis Jurassic Park. There is no volcano in Rampage Edition the thing you think is a volcano is actually just a river with the sun rising. That's why the water turns red in the River Run level of Jurassic Park Rampage Edition. Grant travels on the River Run stage for an entire night. That's why it gets darker and darker then all of the sudden gets red.

  • @glitchhunter09 i cant get past that dumb raptor rapids level! my dingy keeps getting stuck and wont go down the freakin falls!!!!!

  • @h2omadman You have to press down right when you reach the falls silly:) Unless you hit one of those rapids with the collision boxes missing. Then some fucked up shit happens. If you want to see how the game ends you could always watch one of my playthroughs of the game. I did two of them. :)

  • Dude! I love this game! I always wanted it but I had a Snes so I went to a friend's because he had it. If you have an Android phone, download Snesoid or Gensoid and you can play them. Booya!

  • 0:29 it sounds like it says SUCKA!!

  • this was an awesome game. way superior to the snes version

  • lol he dies in part 2

  • LoL why do all of the Sega games have to yell SEGA!!! and surprise you >=P

  • @Naruchu99 well ninendo means"in heaven's hands"

so sega means law of Japan or something like that i guess they yelled to let you know hey we do better than nintendo most of those days sega was vs nintendo till sony playstation came up.

  • Welcome....to...Jurassic Fart.

  • this game was awesome, so was the rampage edition a.k.a. the hard one

  • whaling guitar rips, extreme close ups, loud out of place sound effects! TOTALLY BADICAL!

  • @mustangstevegt Yeah, whatever the hell that means. I wish I could shred like that.

  • Gads, that game was friggin difficult...

  • lmfao awesome commercial

  • im a BIG nintendo fan but sega genesis will always stay in my heart because when i was little,in our country there werent consoles selling at that time (no NES,SNES,Atari or Genesis),so my dad gave me a cd with 256 genesis games wich his friend gave him

i remember playing it all day,and jurrasic park was one of it,i played so much games,my favorite were alladin, tiny toon adventure, jurrasic park, fido dido, mickey mouse castle illusion, sonic 2....

    ah the memories

  • @Happytreefriendsfan3 what country did you live in? just curious :)

  • @lolomg31

    serbia

    you? just curious :P

  • my friend called carlos got this game and we played this when we were kids!

im from portugal and carlos is from portugal

    remember!

carlos my friend and i played this game when i was a kid!

  • pretty sure i've dug with him at that specific site ... very great times ..

  • Yeah, the game had the graphics, but not the heavy metal music I heard in the commercial.

It had "blurps" and "bleeps" and that classic "fart" style genesis music. Yeah, Genesis music sounded like farting.

  • @dogeymon83 Yeah, the heavy metal music would have been much cooler though.

  • @TheCommercialKing Jurassic Park Rampage Edition (the sequel to Genesis Jurassic Park) has a synth Heavy Metal theme.

  • @dogeymon83 intense farting

  • that was a good game, it was better than the SNES one

  • I remember being so mad that this was only on the Sega because it looked so cool. 10 years later I bought it and played, it was terrible. The controls are way too stiff and the game is a glitchy buggy mess.

  • Play the Rampage Edition...that will change your tune!

  • The rampage edition totally kicked ass

  • Well gee maybe because you bought it 10 fucking years later.

  • I know there are exceptions but most of the good movie titles come when the plan the game right along with the movie, bust most of the time they wait till a movie is a hit and then rush the development, programming and production just to get it on the shelves and make a quick buck.

  • MY friend has a real sega genesis and this game as well it rocks! I like playing as the raptor.

  • Well I do have to admit that Robert T. Bakker is my favorite Paleontologist.

    God damn I'm a nerd

  • its no sin to say that-he's more than a TV celebrity paleontologist-you're looking at a man who helped revolutionize dinosaur paleontology.

I'm actually inspired by the "dinosaur heresies", a book he wrote from the 70's-a very good read, and informative one.

  • My older brother bought me this game when I was a little kid. I remember getting eaten by the t-rex and seeing Grant's hat float down afterward. O_o

  • WHOA! Look at those graphics!!

  • i bought the snes recently and my choices were genisis, snes or 64. i like the snes, but i am having doubts that i should have bought the sega

  • When choosing between the Sega Megadrive and the Super Nintendo, there is no right or wrong choice^^

  • Just remember, Sega did what Nintendidn't! XD

  • I loved this game. I remember back in the day when games based on movies weren't an abomination and embarrasment to the people making the games.

  • @OrochiDomingo:

you forget Ghostbusters on the NES - its bullshit while the movies awesome!

  • <3 this commercial

  • as a child this game scared me more than the movie

  • i know whenever i saw the t-rex at the start i closed my eyes lol

  • SEGA!!

  • *BUUUURP!*

  • @bpmbrent *belch*

  • "You can be the raptor."

How freakin' AWESOME was that? Thank you for taking me back to 7th grade. :)

  • @lucidflux76 No problem. man. Sorry for the late, late response. Just checking my vids.

  • @lucidflux76 We need more games where you play as a dinosaur! :D

  • I just saw my childhood flash before my eyes

  • Sega!

  • Great game. I wasn't really a SEGA fan back in the day. Played MK2 and MK3 on it. Just got into sega games thanks to the lovely rom and Emulator

  • that was a fun game

  • This game was AWESOME but hard

  • oh man, i forgot about this game...i could never beat the last level

  • I understand that the Sega version is better but I will always like the SNES version. Thats just my opinion.

  • snes version sucks ^^

  • jurassicpark in snes was totall dumbass

  • The whole reason I preferred this version was because of the graphics! I thought they were amazing back in the day!

  • No, the Genesis version was far superior in this case.

  • This one was a dull platformer. snes version required you to think

  • IT RULES!

    YAY!

  • SE-GA!

  • DUDE!! I used to have that game! >XD I still have my Sega, but that game has gone missing. -cry- Good times, good times. Thad be cool if they remade it on the new consols(sp?)

  • well cheese looks like you are one lucky guy

go fetch emulator " sega genesis"

    and then fetch jurassic park

  • This game looks good .

  • my fav game of all time i wish i still had it. im guna go buy it now

  • well, i still have the game and it is ultra cool of all time. i give this a 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000%

  • When I bought that game, I was expecting it to be like the SNES version. Man was I wrong, just because it has the same title, doesn't mean it's the same game you knew.

  • I remember I got this game with My Sega Genesis for xmas way back in the day.

  • i pissed my pants when i opened my birthday gift and it was this game

  • me too haha.

  • You can be the Raptor only on Sega! priceless

  • wow i remember that game. I remember how muched it pissed me off that you couldn't kill any of the raptors as alen grant.

  • yeah you could you sphincter

  • really? I think you could only put them to sleep

  • you can shoot them with the red rockets. or if you mean the ones at the end, you knock the statue on them

  • I remember this one

  • Did you see it on the Disney Afternoon and Fox Kids?

  • probably
