My first experience with unitarians was 2 days ago when a unitarian relative of mine called me to criticize my beliefs. I was treated to an hour of hate speech, I tried repeatedly to explain that the church they had an issue with was a different branch of my faith, but they were completely unwilling to hear anything I said. I was expected to hear their viewpoints silently. What sort of church is this that harbors so much hate and bigotry? Where do they get off saying our beliefs are all "wrong"?
Unitarian*Universalists claim to believe in asking difficult questions in their fraudulent religious propaganda. But. . . when you start to question *their* rather questionable word and actions they do not appreciate being asked hard questions themselves.
But why not go ahead and pose your questions to the minister of the nearest Unitarian church to where you live.
I am NOT surprised that they were completely unwilling to hear anything you said.
Unitarian-Universalism is a meaningless "religion" anyway, so why do you care so much about it? I spent many years in UUism, and it is an absolutely pointless, directionless path. Believing in whatever your heart fancies does not produce people of courage and principle---following the path of Christ DOES. These people prattle on about their "Judeo-Christian Heritage", but want to hear nothing of The LORD or Jesus Christ. Seek Christ, and you will find what is lacking in UUism---meaning.
Thank you for posting such an intelligent and enlightened comment.
Frankly, we all would be better off if these Unitarians and the Fundamentalist Baptist (two opposite extremes) would just fall off the end of the earth and into oblivion never to be seen or heard of again.
I tell you: a plague is on BOTH houses! And the Bible does say, he who troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind and the fool shall serve the wise in heart.
At present I do not belong to any particular organized religion. I do not have anything against U*Us in general other than the fact that they seem to be incapable of making a reasonable effort to practice what they preach in their human relations with me and other people. What I am against are specific injustices and abuses perpetrated by some U*Us, including U*U clergy and top level UUA officials, which have been tolerated and condoned by U*Us for well over a decade. I am against U*U hypocrisy.
No I don't. Some of these people, particularly if we are talking about the greater U*U "religious community" and not just the alleged Unitarian Church of Montreal, are actually doing some things that many people would consider to be worse than "sacrificing animals". If anyone needs to lay off it is hypocritical Montreal Unitarians and other U*Us who try to bully me in various ways, not the least of them being repeatedly calling in false alarms to the police about my legitimate public protest.
See, I've been following the abuses of Scientology for years now and know a lot about religious bullies. The Church of Scientology accuses their critics of being pedophiles to their family and neighborhood, levies frivolous lawsuits against them, kills their pets, or in rare cases drives their critics to suicide (many of whom under mysterious circumstances).
I am falsely accused of being "psycho" "psychotic" even "a dangerously deranged psycho/sociopath" and otherwise seriously mentally deranged. Some U*Us pretend that they have "reasonable grounds to believe" that I will commit a "serious personal injury offense" against them. One even pretended that I posed an "immanent threat" of entering the Unitarian Church of Montreal with firearms and committing a Jim David Adkisson style shooting. I think I would prefer to be accused of being a pedophile...
No frivolous lawsuits against me so far. . . Just bogus criminal charges and an unjustified restraining order granted on the basis of the previously mentioned false accusations. Did I forget to mention that the false accusation that I was an "immanent threat" to Montreal U*Us was made over two years ago? No killing of my pets but I have been physically assaulted myself a few times and have had what a 911 dispatcher characterized as "death threats" made against me. Nothing *too* serious yet. . .
But thanks for publicly acvknowledging that I am being bullied by Unitarian*Universalists. That is right on the money although they now accuse me of bullying them because I chose to fight back. . . The false and malicious labeling of Creation Day as a cult by Rev. Ray Drennan, Frank Greene and other intolerant "fundamentalist atheist" Humanist U*Us along with the initial labeling of me as a "crazy" "psychotic" "nutcase" definitely constitutes anti-religious intimidation and bullying AFAIAC.
Your blog begins about five years ago and references a single event many times that seems to have predicated everything.
Would it be safe to assume the "abuse" you keep on about happened more than 5 years ago over what others might call "hurt feelings." And the following "bullying" by the UU are from individuals reacting badly to your protests regarding an event that happened years ago, didn't involve them and over something so petty any reasonable person would have let drop long ago?
Rev. Ray Drennan's bigoted labeling of me as "psychotic" and Creation Day as a "cult" more or less predicated everything that has followed but there were instances of intolerance prior to his attack that I felt it necessary to complain about. The "abuse" as in verbal abuse, psychological abuse, and abuse of power has been quite continual and has little to do with "hurt feelings" and what I was and still am dealing with is hardly "petty". U*Us have repeatedly done things to escalate this conflict

Two questions for you, Robin.
What religion are you?
What do you have against U.U.s?

Anything like that?

And, I wouldn't blame you in the least. In my book, you'd be hailed a hero.
These sons of bitches don't deserve the air they breath anymore than do the Scientologist bastards.
