His playing of these suites is quite extraordinary. He comes closer to the ideal performance (for me) than any recording (and I own lots) or live performance of the suites that I have heard.
Subtle, imaginative and daring all whilst managing to retain the essential spirituality and dance like themes of the suites. Amazing - a superb cellist and a great artist and musician.
