  • Just wanted you guys to know that my two-year-old LOVES this video. He makes me watch it at LEAST once a day, and he also makes me sing your song to him at other random points in the day. :) (We live in Qingdao, so he can relate to most of what is in your video.) Thanks for being such a bright part of our day! :)

  • ha! you got the chinese people to dance

  • @ERICA778899 No! They brought the dancers with them. As is made clear in the introduction which you didn't read.

    Hilarious though. .

  • @liuzhou well srry i don't read that like most people

  • Impressive. You laowai totally nailed it. Makes me miss living in the middle country. Thanks for posting!

  • It's awesome that people actually joined you in the dancing..

  • @perxundercover Don't be silly. It was set up. The people dancing were with them. They are their students. Read the introduction.

    Still wonderful, though!

  • I took the train from Changchun to Beijing a few weeks ago. I had no idea there were standing room tickets!

  • Great job, so fun!

    PS

  • Love it! My kids are singing this all the time. It's a blast.

This one will be hard to top, but I'm waiting to see the next one!

    It's money.

  • Love it, love it, love it. Good to see Changchun again. Thanks guys!

  • This is awesome

  • This is awesome

  • clever. I like the students involvement. Mad fun. Very solid for a one day out take.

    Now for my (positive) feedbacks:

    1. Give me more passion.

    2. Did you mouth the words or actually say it. B.c by pure mouthing, it loses the real effect.

    3. You should hire me as your videographer. Or try out sick angels, i.e. You looking down into the camera (instead of perfect 90degree angle shots), or just feet dancing shots.

All in all, good stuff. Great song.

  • @jlui21

@ your #3: I'm pretty sure you meant sick angles, not sick angels. Nevertheless, made me laugh!

  • We are loving this! Fellow ELICren...

  • Mad props...

  • OMG. OMG. OMG. I am a HuaQiao 2004-05 CTF alum, and I am absolutely in LOVE with this video. My roommates and I decided that if you ever want to come to New Orleans, you have a free place to stay with us if you'll teach us your dance.

  • I love this. Great job. Posting the link on Facebook, so my friends can see this too.

  • aah, that is so awesome! I am going with CTF in August.... I would love to go Changchun!

  • I think you guys are onto something here- music and talking style. Great job, When is your next one coming out? Tim

  • train to BJ, whom do you wanna fool? qing gui to hua qiao, but who knows that...next time you could try dancin on the bus,...maybe the 160...Me and my room mates love it....and again I ask my self why do I ride a bike.....qing gui could be so much fun

  • love it! (from a tianjin dweller and friend of the below poster "meganwick")

  • To answer some of the questions, the song is an original, written and performed by Scott and I. We made it on a Mac using GarageBand (check out the video's details for more information). Glad you are enjoying it!

    Dan

  • Who are you people and why did I not know you when I lived in Changchun? Love the reaction of the people. Classic, classic, classic.

  • This is great! I bet your students at HQ loved you! I lived in those foreign teacher buildings the first year they were being constructed (yes, we lived in them while they were being constructed!).

  • Oh my goodness... I LOVE IT! You guys are awesome! That is so much fun! DId you make this song yourself or where in the world did you find it? How did you make it? Ok... I must have you for Facebook friends... add me by finding me under the name "Renee Quasar" I will be the only one with that name :) :) God bless!

  • @azgirl777 Hi Renee - Thanks for your comments! You might have already seen Dan's post above, but yes, we wrote this song ourselves using a Macbook computer and Garageband. We recorded everything on the built-in microphone on my computer. Glad you liked it!

By the way, I didn't find any matches for "Renee Quasar" on facebook. But feel free to add me - just look for Scott Semanski.

  • @azgirl777 accually they did make it by them selves. im one of his students, when he was in china he did it with his frend its really cool

  • lots of squeals watching this from my 7 and 4 year old. Our 7-year old says, "Those are the funniest guys I ever saw in the train station!" from: a former Changchun dweller, now living in Tianjin.

  • maybe this will work for the 14 hour plane ride there... hmm

  • This is just TOO great. Good job...

  • This is amazing. I'm even more excited for China this summer!

  • This was GREAT!!!

  • That was AMAZING!! So impressive!

  • Fantastic. I just sat up from Beijing to Shanghai this weekend, and this video captures the feeling really well. Especially the attitude about standing in lines.

  • Dude, you guys ROCK! Makes me miss Changchun. :)

  • The Chinese people definitely did think we were going insane.. :)

  • This is flippin' awesome! I'm quite impressed.

  • That's a great video! I was at Hua Qiao with CTF in 2002-2003. Finish strong and keep having fun!

  • Hey guys, you really need to get this posted on YouKu in addition to YouTube. See if your students will help you.

  • Fantastic. I was with ELI in 2003. This makes me want to go back :) Thanks for the entertainment!!

  • Too bad none of the Chinese dancers can watch this. Did you tell them how to get through the firewall?
