and btw, you should listen to the song a bit harder... left hand arpeggios are wrong, theres a bit more variety in there.

I learned this song by listening to the piano version and pausing/play/pausing/repeat... tedious

i know that -_- I also did that to other songs which I don't have music sheet. Listen until liquid can ooze out of the ears.

But for this, i followed the book I bought from kinokuniya :P It has a nice collection of songs from nausicaa right up to spirited away.

Actually the song is longer, but I only love this part :P Maybe someday I will record the whole song

yeah joe hisaishi's compostions are very good. I love the spirited away soundtrack and laputa too. But for this movie, the music are by Katsu Hoshi.
