  • Supercharged pecie of shit

  • looks cool - but why didnt i hear the supercharger kick in ?

  • ive been working on 1 for bout 8 months, but it has a roof, rpm gage ,battery indicator blue lights, racing seat ....etc all the good stuff along with a 35hp honda engine, im gonna upload a vid soon!!

  • lol why would u do tht 426 v8 on a gokart is like asking the grim reaper to touch u lol

u be better off putting it on a lawn mower jk i would atleast put a raptor or a old forwheeler eng on it make the supercharger kick in better

  • @littleoutlaw1991 what the fuck are you on about kid? and as for a 426 on a go-kart, that would be pretty sick, maybe your just a faggot?

  • @littleoutlaw1991 why would you put a pice of shit craptor motor in a go kart i mean i would if i wanted to go slow.....

  • still no test drive,bitches,totally

  • how much boost does it make?

  • how much did the frame cost

  • @bandaskiss The frame cost under 100 bucks. In the go kart bundle we show how you can spend less than 200 dollars on a go kart.

  • @gamblighini hay can u tell me where u got a gocart frame for 100.00

  • @firmclock You can purchase square tubing for almost 50 bucks. Or you can scrounge and find square tubing. I found this tubing from an old railing that was being scrapped. Go kart frames are cheap, it is the other stuff such as wheels, axels, clutches, steering knuckles, steering rod ends and so on that add up....

  • hurp derp

  • Ummm gambigihini...... why are you talking about high lift cams and high compression heads???? Turbo and supercharged engines have lower compression heads... for a reason. Less compression means more volume for compressed air in the cylender and more fuel... and more power.... and High compression ratio;s cause savage lean misfires ect...

  • only if you can stick a 426 Hemi in one of those.

  • What it proves is that a supercharger can be mounted and actually shove air into a carburetor, and on a Briggs at that.

You run into pressurization problems with supercharging and this proves the point that this system has taken that into acount. It is now just a matter of upping the pressures using ratios and so on.

  • it only works as a super charger if you disconect the vacum line and plug it or else you start pressurizing the oil sump

  • @gamblighini How have you gotten past the pressurisation issue? Did you feed a boost line into the fuel tank?

  • @michaelmocan In order to equalize pressure between the carb and the feed line requires that the gas in feed has equal pressure. So in a long way...yes.

  • @gamblighini Shoving air isn't as afective as pulling the air through the carb, more vacuum creates more power and is less likely to stall at low rpm's, the turbo is a little big also.

  • nah seen better...

  • ok so i have a riding mower engine but its vertical so do i have to set it on its side to attach it to the kart or what?

  • Definitely do not do that! If you do, and it runs at all, It will burn up your engine due to a lack of oil! You will just have to either get a horizontal shaft engine or find some way, probably through a gearbox to convert it to run your kart

  • just to advise you i wouldn't run a mover engine on its side. its not good for the engine. read the other coments from people.

  • The goal of this project was to see if you could supercharge a Standard Briggs without doing crazy modifications such as high lift cams, alcohol, super high compression heads, titanium con rods, forged crank, sodium filled valves, tri-cut valves ect...

The goal of this project was to see what a little boost would do. Yes you can crank any old briggs up to ungodly speeds with mega modifications,

Visit the web page and blog for more info on superchargers...

  • ok so how exactly did you use that im curious and wanting to make my riding tractor a bit more powerful is that possible besides gear change and pulley swap and deck removal

  • now its time for a bigger wheels or a bigger sprocket

  • awesome

  • aww cmon, a supercharger? thats' overkill

  • top speed of that kart?

  • The top speed without governer at approximately 6000 rpms is around 37 to 40 mph.

The sprocket set up is 12 teeth to 72 teeth with a 12 inch diameter tire. The engine is rated at 5 hp. With supercharger it is approximately 5.5 hp or greater. Depends on if you put an intercooler on it.

  • Only 5.5???? I have a yard kart motor with a cam and racing muffler pushing over 6!

  • Yeah, my "5 hp" briggs is probsbly in the 16s! Then again, it runs on alcohol :P

  • Methanol here.

  • I developed this supercharger a couple of years ago and made it myself. It was designed to bolt directly onto a briggs head.

I am working on a better design and am writing a book about it. It costs less than 50 bucks to make and uses materials that can be bought off of ebay

  • Where did you get the supercharger i have the same engine and i need one.
