Just randomly saw one of their albums at a flea market today and wanted to hear what they sounded like. I agree, Sandi's vocals are amazing. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for posting first time i heard of this band was in early 90's we use to have a late nite radio show in charlotte nc that played all the stuff from the late 60's it was great I think it lasted a few years I wish they had a show like that now where you could just listen to surprising psychodelic music and garage bands of the era
None of this great music will ever be appreciated for what it really is, there's only a small group of people who even know of this beautiful music because everyones into their rap and indie music and whatever the "pop music" of today is...
Superb vocal from Sandi Robison who was woefully under-rated and remains so more than 20 years after her death. As any fan will know, this track is from The Great Conspiracy which features their best known track Turn on a Friend
that surprisingly is not on youtube. My personal favourite Too Many Do is also not on youtube and features some wonderful guitar from Bill Wolff.
This group is a pleasant surprise. I expected them to be a bubblegum group with their name and all, but i decided to take a chance and clicked on this song. The PBC really sound good and are a wonderful remnant of the
This band was a good blend of California harmonies like The Mamas and the Papas and others around with a similar sound. The thing that set them apart and hurt them in a lot of respects was their desire to not be commercial sell-outs. To me there were/are no finer groups than PBC and deserves to be up there with the legends, because they are.
The Peanut Butter Conspiracy was a wonderful group.Barbara really shines on Lonely Leaf.I also like her vocals on,"Return Home" from "For Children of all ages" album.Hopefully, someone will post a TV clip of the group.Alan & John also shine on this track......Whitey
I have listened to their music for so many years I cannot understand why they never had more commercial success. I have come to the conclusion that PBC did not want to compromise their serious musicianship for pop fame.
G.B.'66,there are somethings in the wurks for the PBC including the inclusion of a PBC Biker song in a new Tarentino Biker Film.If you have not visited the Unofficial PBC website @ Peanutbutterconspiracydotcom, please join in. Alan & John are regular contributers.

Should be, isn't yet, maybe some day.
Perhaps when a lot of the documentaries surface that are supposed to be "in the works" many more people will be exposed to Sandi.

garageband,
If you have everything they did, can you post "Then Came Love". That song is just as gorgeous as this one.

Perhaps Barbara's finest vocal track....PBC trivia: Spencer Dryden was in PBC before he went to Jefferson Airplane....

That might have been an intresting fit had he stayed.

Will do! I just wish Sandy would've been alive to see just how much PBC's music has endured.
