  • Nice KooL Bus

  • Nice old Thomas in Navistar International bus.

  • This wouldn't be highway 70 would it? just curious!

  • No, hwy 18.

  • Haha love the interior, and the flag, but one question, how come you didn't hippie up the outside? i know thats what im going to do =P

  • I like the stock look on my vehicles and people give me lots of room on the road - unless they notice the name, dark windows, or rear Jolly Roger...:)

  • Hi, I'm converting my kids bus that he and his friends are taking on a 3 year trip all across Latin America. How many gallons is your water tank? How long does it last you? He's got a 36 gallon and just will be using it for showering. Any recommendations?

  • For that long a trip I would secure at least 10 more 5G water jugs in or under for drinking or cleaning as well as your 36G unit. You may end up in an area where the local water is questionable at best. My bus holds 10 gallons under the sink in 5g jugs and I stow as many extra 5G jugs as needed for a trip, but I have only gone for a week at a time in the bus or van so far without a reliable external water source. Also a solar shower bag works well and takes no space. Good luck S of equator :)

  • GOOD DEAL!!!

  • "Kool Bus" haha I love it xD

  • love the bus

  • are you able to upload more videos on this bus?

  • Bathroom?

  • Porta potty in the shower...

  • i cant wait to get and convert my mini bus....ahhhh

  • Hey Man.. Excellent Conversion. I love the Shroom Flag, its very beautiful

  • whats the size of the fuel tank?

  • 65 G

  • What kind of fuel mileage do you get out of her?

  • 10 on level road at 60mph - a BIT less in the mnts :)

  • i Love it man. Cool. I love the Thomas built better then the blue bird,

  • nice job!! HYBRIDS are DANGEROUS and LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES!

  • me and my buds are thinking about doing this ourselves, how much did you pay for the bus itself?

  • $4000, my other video of this machine has the dealer info. Easy to drive if you are at ease with big vehicles.

  • How much did it cost to have all that done?

  • I spent about $1000 building the interior myself. Three hammocks, wood stove, and dark sun screen have been added since this video.

  • Hey cool interior.. does it have shower/toilet?

  • Yes, the porta potty sits in the solar shower which is behind the green shower curtain near the middle of the driver's side.

  • Thanks, eveyone should incorporate a bit of the 60's positive side in them, now matter when you're born. I am now working on ramps for the back that stow underneath, first to transport motorcycles and snowmobiles inside and then any car when the triple back doors are done.

  • check out this skoolie

    shortcuthigh com

  • That is an awesome bus and a commendable application of a custom vintage machine. A little low on headroom for me though, must have been fun to build her and to drive:)

  • What is meant by waxing on and off?

    What problems did u encounter?

  • Tons of detailing work in and out, buffing, waxing, paint touchup, scrubbing and painting interior, mthm conversion work, mechanical repairs such as new cooling system, rear seals, and numerous minor repairs. I just now completed the installation of a stowable wood stove system that exits the smoke out of a middle window. A diesel heater is next.

  • What DMV requirements?

did u have to remove a number of seats to legally drive it on car licence or do u have a bus licence?

  • Once I installed enough mthm requirements to qualify for a reclassified title, A regular car license is all that is needed in CA and most states.

  • What MTHM requirements did you have to carry out? Excellent Bus plan on doing this myself, Used RV Prices are a total Joke akin to Daylight Roberry!

  • I have listed Ca DMV MTHM requirements in the video text. Building it yourself is my style:)

  • Hei, parece ue suena mejor que la primera vez, no?

  • haha, magic mushroom. al gore wouldn't like your bus.

  • But his buddy Bill Clinton would (the possible first first man).

  • Wow, you did a great job in such a short time.

Now, I want a skoolie, too!

  • Get building! I'd like to go to some type of converted bus meet in the future.

  • Skooliestock? Burning Skoolies? ;)

  • Niiice. I love the purr of those Diesels. I live next to a school and I can't get enuf of them!

  • Speaking of kool busses, check out myspace/rocktownhallstagelines - Nothin' like a Cali bus adventure

  • hey wheres the 3rd video? I'm excited to watch it. need more video of the bus driving.

  • I hope to have the next video of this machine (#3of3) by late 2007, after she is capable of hauling vintage machines on the INSIDE.

  • COOL

  • Looks great since you polished it all up and put the interior in. Glad to know all's going well. If you've not found it yet, check out Mr. Sharkey's Bus Barn. Just google for it. He has a wonderful forum for schoolie and other bus conversions.

  • or better yet check out skoolie . net

  • love here

  • I love that SHROOM tie die thing

  • holy cheeze that bus is cherry!

  • Wow, that really looks amazing!

  • Thanks, I busted my butt to make her presentable for the neighbors and to appease the DMV. I hope viewers enjoy her half as much as I do. VM
