Nice Mass physics, how long did it take you to make this? and ive been working on this level for about 6 weeks now, since ive been introduced to it at college, check my channel out, it doesnt beat ur quality, mine is the basics lol
You should write a tutorial on how to use the Physics so well and post on the UDK forums. You obviously rock at it! And this is a very cool concept BTW. Great work!
You shall be hearing from game companies soon, your talents will not go unnoticed. But would it be beyond your capabilities to do some tutorials for us lesser beings?
That is absolutely stunning, I hadn't heard of this software (or for that matter what it can do) but that is superb. Think I'll have to give it a try myself :D.
@goonsmile The command (Dumpmovie) in UDK along with the Benchmark console command allows you to render out each individual frame regardless of computer speed to bmp files. The only downside is the final folder can be up to 40GB's in size. However you get no lag whatsoever in the final video composition.
@fdslk1 I used a special launch command to give the game a variable framerate and then I proceeded to use fraps with nosync enabled. This how the video is at a perfect constant framerate from beginning to end. It's a pre-render if you will.
@fdslk1 type -benchmark -fps at the end of the target box in the UDK shortcut properties, this wont make the video for you, but it'll give you that variable framerate you need to record with. From there simply record your footage with fraps and nosync enabled in fraps, once you have your footage it should look perfectly smooth, but it may play quickly, and require you to slow it down by half.
I should probably also note that there seems to be issues with the "nosync" in later versions of fraps.
I recently *literally* started learning to use udk and man its soooo cool =p this is just amazing how did you do it pritty please i love the fading and words at the start i really like to learn to do that that make awesome cut scene or into into a mission for my maps maybe how you did the physics stuff O.O PLEASE ITS GODLY I watched this like 5 times lol simple but so awesome PLEASEEEEE =P
i have a different question, my ears are awesomed! hahaha sorry 4 my noob english but, what kind of tools have u used to make the bso? Like a it a lot the sound of the bass and the drums, what kind of vst have u used? Thnks!
nice stuff man, ive been using ut3 the past year too, starting udk practice now for next semester, i always wanted to do this, used to make tornados alot! but this was far more intricate and choreographed than i was planning, thumbs up man! super creative!
This is 10 times more impressive than nearly anything I've seen made with UE, and I'm talking commercial level!

Also I forgot about Royksopp, 1st track I heard was Eple from Gamesville (UK gaming show), that was 4ish years ago and I still remember the name, thats how good it is!
I haven't looked but is there a possibility that you can post a video tutorial of how you render these scenes in such a great quality. I'm trying to get into the world of unreal. Thanks. lol :)
I love this, haunting and Moving (I do not intend any sort of pun on Physics here) It kinda to me seemed like the Last dance of a Dying Muse burning brightest just before the end, in one last gasp of brilliance.
I compared this to Van Gogh's "Starry Night" in my head. This is the stuff I am talking about when I tell my art teachers they are wrong about art dieing. It's just moving away from their idea of art to something better.
@Trenholmes true true art is subjective. but if my art teachers can subjectivly tell me its not art then i can subjectively tell them their full of shit and that it's better. of course i would not word it like that when talking to someone that controls weather or not I pass a class I spent a grand on.
360? ps3? what game is this? You must have a really powerful rig, whats your system specs? It makes me sad that this amount of rocks is filling egyptian pyramids every single day. I seriously doubt it's as many objects as you say it is. WHat song is this? This doesnt look like unreal engine, it looks like cryengine. How long did this take to render??
