  • pc spec?

  • Very Cool Physics but watching it in 3D gives me a headache after being hit by so many bricks!

  • why is this sort of thing not in games....

  • /watch?v=mgigJhcyJAU my udk terrain tutorials

  • 4 People Disliked This, Because They Fail At UDK

  • Stunning work dude

  • Come on... admit it, this would be amazing to watch in 3d...

  • how can someone possibly dislike this

  • КРУТО !!! МОЛОДЕЦ !!!!

  • ever thought about an enemy like this? some kind of robot that throwas metallic trash at you like we have seen in Vanquish?

  • Beautiful work.

  • What…is this? =O

  • Nice Mass physics, how long did it take you to make this? and ive been working on this level for about 6 weeks now, since ive been introduced to it at college, check my channel out, it doesnt beat ur quality, mine is the basics lol

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!! Alot of work on this mass physics. Still I dont know much about UDK but I am into learning anyway :\

  • this is some shit from the matrix man

  • JAJAJAJA, brilliant, amazing results, best wishes for you master!!!

  • MASTERFULL.

  • how long does it take to render it?

  • You should write a tutorial on how to use the Physics so well and post on the UDK forums. You obviously rock at it! And this is a very cool concept BTW. Great work!

  • Damn!! What a nice video! Brilliant work. *o*

Can you tell me how to make the physics and objects acting like this, plase?

  • stunning

  • If i would like to make something samiliar to this, what things should i google? Or are you planning on making a tutorial?

  • music? and wow just wow

  • You shall be hearing from game companies soon, your talents will not go unnoticed. But would it be beyond your capabilities to do some tutorials for us lesser beings?

  • fukn amazing broo

  • That is absolutely stunning, I hadn't heard of this software (or for that matter what it can do) but that is superb. Think I'll have to give it a try myself :D.

  • Dude, how much money did you spend on your PC??? Just insane...

  • did anyone else get hard? jk lol

    excellent work

  • you again !

definitively you are a master on this !

    good work

  • 4 people pissed themselves when they saw bricks going at their faces while they were watching it in hd fullscreen

  • I think I might have cried a little bit while watching this... so awesome

  • someones computer is a beast

  • @goonsmile The command (Dumpmovie) in UDK along with the Benchmark console command allows you to render out each individual frame regardless of computer speed to bmp files. The only downside is the final folder can be up to 40GB's in size. However you get no lag whatsoever in the final video composition.

  • how did you get it in sync with the music? :D

  • wow

  • @HotTexasBoi The name of the song is in the video at the very beginning.

  • WOW°_°

  • Very-very impressive! You must continue to create that kind video, you have talent!

  • :) Love unreal. If only more major companies made proper shooters on it.

  • i adore UT engine's lights

  • WOuUUouuuu beautiful !!!!!

  • More than impressive

  • Is it realtime?

  • Awesome, how did you make it?

  • I think I've seen god in there... O_O

  • nice particles affects

  • nice particles affects

  • im stoned and this is great

  • Hi looks amazing, great work, how do you control the physics? with UC or Kismet?

  • what is the name of the song

  • @merccc1

the song is "Triumphant" by Royksopp. It is from the album "Understanding"

    Amazing music from those guys.

  • @mckseal your video is defenietly the best one for this song that I have seen .

  • i just came !!!!!

  • wow.

  • subbed and faved just for this <33333 so great

  • Can you make like a Dev Blog for things like this. Not a tutorial, but videos of things in the making.

  • Wow, this is amazing. Not just that you did it but.. that your computer could handle that! Holy cow! Do you have a copy of this for download?

  • Wow, this is amazing. Not just that you did it but.. that your computer could handle that! Holy cow!

  • Thanks again for the inspiration. :) I made one here with a much better environment. Love your emitter by the way. Still working on those.

  • This is going on my hard drive for life. Love the work, inspirational and stunningly beautiful!

  • Insanely beautiful!

  • must have been a bitch to render but it was soo worth it

  • looks like you got the Engine down .

  • you should make a movie...

  • awesome

  • cool! :D

  • Dynamic light/shadows does wonders in here. Without it this would be so dull.

    Nice video!

  • Someone has taste in music.. Royksopp for Ever! ;0)

  • That was the coolest thing ever!

I hope I get this good!

  • Great Job man! Actually I'm more interested about the particles and light sphere effects than the physics shown in the video XD

  • but it could be a bit more fluendly

  • awsome and the music makes it complet

  • That's awsome Cant really say anymore thane that, just awsome

  • Who say's video games are not art.

  • Who knew a pile of bricks could look that awesome?

  • Have you seen that doublekill Episode 1 movie on machinima if not look it up it would be kick ass if you could do a short movie like that.

  • are the little glowy things part of a particle system? If so, how did you get it to collide so well and be affected by the force actors?

  • Elude, your certainly elusive. Superb animation setup. You ever gonna chip in with some help on the epic forums?

  • if this was in the trailer for a game, i would have thought the orb was a pretty badass boss with a lot of brick armor

  • Highly Motivating!!! thank you for putting this up :D

  • Stick me in a dress and call me Sally...this is made with UDK?!

  • @FireOps the UDK is extremely powerful.

download it and watch some tutorials, take a class and learn a trade.

we're a;ways looking for new innovations in game design

  • How did you record this into a video? That's my real question, did you use fraps?

  • @fdslk1 I used a special launch command to give the game a variable framerate and then I proceeded to use fraps with nosync enabled. This how the video is at a perfect constant framerate from beginning to end. It's a pre-render if you will.

  • @Elude87 Can I know which command it is?

  • @fdslk1 type -benchmark -fps at the end of the target box in the UDK shortcut properties, this wont make the video for you, but it'll give you that variable framerate you need to record with. From there simply record your footage with fraps and nosync enabled in fraps, once you have your footage it should look perfectly smooth, but it may play quickly, and require you to slow it down by half.

I should probably also note that there seems to be issues with the "nosync" in later versions of fraps.

  • @Elude87 Sir... you are a genius :)

  • @Elude87 Sir... you are a genius :) Its just so pretty... may watch so many times it gives me a seizure :S

  • Cool :D

  • amazing !

  • Man THIS IS GREEEEAT! I luv it definetely......do you build it in real time or in other way?

  • dude fucking awsome !

  • May I ask where you're from? Since Royksopp is Norwegian, and I just wondered how you heard about them xP

  • I recently *literally* started learning to use udk and man its soooo cool =p this is just amazing how did you do it pritty please i love the fading and words at the start i really like to learn to do that that make awesome cut scene or into into a mission for my maps maybe how you did the physics stuff O.O PLEASE ITS GODLY I watched this like 5 times lol simple but so awesome PLEASEEEEE =P

  • i have a different question, my ears are awesomed! hahaha sorry 4 my noob english but, what kind of tools have u used to make the bso? Like a it a lot the sound of the bass and the drums, what kind of vst have u used? Thnks!

  • what 3 fools would dislike this??? ... haters man ... great work ;)

  • what 3 fools would dislike this??? ... haters man ... great work ;)

  • amazing, to say the least

  • wow :o

  • amazing..

i'm a great fan of your work,

i'm still learning the basics of UDK,

some tips will be welcome :)

  • Downloading the insane quality version! Thanks! Great video =]

  • That looks totally awesome. And people wonder why I'm so in love with UDK. What fps did you get doing that?

  • That was too awesome for words

    Great job

  • This is lookin' awsome! How did you create the volumetric lightning.

  • Whats the music?

  • nice showcase of particles, shadow, materials, light rays, kismet ohh The whole video was nice :) .

  • Very beautiful !

  • nice stuff man, ive been using ut3 the past year too, starting udk practice now for next semester, i always wanted to do this, used to make tornados alot! but this was far more intricate and choreographed than i was planning, thumbs up man! super creative!

  • What's your computer specs? Must be a beast to handle this much.

  • @Blindsushi Actually it wouldnt take much because of the way UDK renders. It just may take a long time.

  • Wow, hell yeah. I didn't even want to blink and miss anything. Thumbs Up.

  • Holy Shit this is awesome.

  • show off...love it.

  • Holy shit man you are a prodigy.

  • INCREDIBLE !!!

    °]°

  • Probably the best physics based video I have ever seen.. Well done.

  • THATS IT SIICK! DOUBLE THUMBS

  • i shit one brick by myself when i saw this.

    thats brilliant, dude.

  • Ah, Real Time Physics, Cool.

  • You are not helping me in my resolve to wait till I am done with client projects to start experimenting with the UDK for live VJing.

  • great!

  • I hope you do this for a living. :D

  • Great song choice. Beautiful.

  • @WeirdyIsHere what song is it?

  • @F4UC3 Triumphant by Royksopp. It's credited at the beginning.

  • Awesome..

  • :O *head explodes*

  • Love the video, but the song is familiar and I can't place it. What is it? I haven't seen any answers in the comments.

    Thanks!

  • Reminds of Gantz Graf...this is great

  • mindblowing

  • real time?? or how long to render??

  • Brilliant!

  • I really love this, great work and keep it up !

  • This is absolutely amazing! How long does it take for you to do a project like this?

  • @TaylorKingMusic Few days to a week.

  • @Elude87 could you make somthing like this for one of my songs check out my music on myspace just search Joshua Knowles

  • For the love of god (who the f*ck is that?).

This is 10 times more impressive than nearly anything I've seen made with UE, and I'm talking commercial level!

To think that the tools you need to make this are FREE, is out of this world! I dont care how you did it, Im just speechless, so Im glad I only have to type this! Also I forgot about Royksopp, 1st track I heard was Eple from Gamesville (UK gaming show), that was 4ish years ago and I still remember the name, thats how good it is!

  • This deserves more views.

  • I haven't looked but is there a possibility that you can post a video tutorial of how you render these scenes in such a great quality. I'm trying to get into the world of unreal. Thanks. lol :)

  • OMG, this is ART !

  • My brain cant comprehend the awesomeness

  • Eerily awesome.

  • what are the specs of your computer to run this?

  • @thearkclan hes not running it in real time

  • This looked awesome!!!

  • Good job!

  • I love this, haunting and Moving (I do not intend any sort of pun on Physics here) It kinda to me seemed like the Last dance of a Dying Muse burning brightest just before the end, in one last gasp of brilliance.

    Well done...

  • (: ''''''3W0S3MV

  • I compared this to Van Gogh's "Starry Night" in my head. This is the stuff I am talking about when I tell my art teachers they are wrong about art dieing. It's just moving away from their idea of art to something better.

  • @xchosen123 not something better, something different. Art is subjective. This vid is great work and is art for certain.

  • @Trenholmes true true art is subjective. but if my art teachers can subjectivly tell me its not art then i can subjectively tell them their full of shit and that it's better. of course i would not word it like that when talking to someone that controls weather or not I pass a class I spent a grand on.

  • @xchosen123

Comment like this put a smile on my face, followed by a light chuckle under my breath.

  • @ncshuriken I try thanks

  • Nice work Steve, did you get a job /w epic yet?

  • Can you post some tutorials, maybe some sources of outside help you have gotten?

  • THE LONG AWAITED DANCE OF BLOCKS!

    son, I am not disappoint.

  • 360? ps3? what game is this? You must have a really powerful rig, whats your system specs? It makes me sad that this amount of rocks is filling egyptian pyramids every single day. I seriously doubt it's as many objects as you say it is. WHat song is this? This doesnt look like unreal engine, it looks like cryengine. How long did this take to render??

  • @erikrass

    i lol'd wholeheartedly. thankyou.

  • @erikrass

download UDK and you'll see that it is Unreal Engine 3 (look at the meshes)...and you don't need a monster rig for this because this doesn't need to be rendered realtime...and it is no game i think and it is on PC

  • awesome...in the true sense of the word

  • Friend, you have much talent, and too experience in Unreal Engine. Congradulations. It's your best UDK video :D

I would like learn as you.
