ok! cool! out of your time? difficult! im 39 but technically with my musicall tastes i was born in 2030`s and 2040`s . I love any sort of music that gets catchy. sadly for people like 'huwse', 'talveer2' and especially 'stecharlton'. Heh! Immaturity shines in those possibly older than me, who would have thought!
The Guitars sound awesome in this recording.......... the Ricky bass tight and loud, The Gibson punchy and sweet, The Stratocaster bright and meaty. Wow who was the guitar tech?

Music recorded on "From The Basement" always sounds fantastic. Even if you don't like the band that much it really draws you in with how well everything is recorded.
Someone discussing the song said that the dance that goes along with the song would need to be seen to get its full brilliance. After I tidy my cravat, I will leave to thank that person.
It's a shame than some people in this day and age just don't get bands like these. I'm 15 but technically with my musical tastes I was born in the 70s and 80s. I love any sort of music that gets catchy. sadly for people like 'huwse', 'talveer2' and especially 'stecharlton'. Heh! Immaturity shines in those possibly older than me, who would have thought!
@jammygamer I'm no longer 15, but I think that there are quite a number of acts that you youngies listen to that are quite good like Mika, Scissor Sisters, Lily Allen, Franz Ferdinand and a number of others. But I do agree that each progressive music generation is more watered down. Sparks are one of the few American bands still around today that I've got any respect for - they don't bow to peer group pressure and do something just because it's cool to do it. That's what makes them so great.

And no tbh it would never get a hit, unfortunately for the band, hopefully there next song will be better. It just isn't catchy enough, the way he sings sooooooong is too annoying.
It's great that Jonathan Ross had Sparks on his show last Friday - that should get the sales of this CD up a bit - well deserved it would be too after nearly 40yrs in the business!!!
This should make top 10 in the UK easy. Maybe it needs promoted more.
I checked out some of their popular songs and "This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us" was used on an advert sometime, so I already knew it. Cool.
I think he's 60. But there's a lot of uncertainty regarding Ron and Russell's birth dates, so who knows, lol. If Russell is 60 he looks mighty fine for it.
wow! I was going to cover wich I looked a little better, but now I cant wait to cover this song instead on my youtube channel. absolutely brilliant! Sparks rock!
This is the funniest song that Queen never recorded.

Favorite song off the album. Kind of reminds me of Goldfrapp in some ways. I love that Ron stands in front of a mic and doesn't say a word, ha ha.
