  • Mainstream Mormons believe the same thing as FLDS even though they don't like to admit it. The LDS faith supposes God loves His sons more than his daughters and this is not the true teaching of God. The LDS faith is racist, chauvinstic, prejudice. The pillars of the LDS faith are fear, obedience and judgment. God is about love, joy, forgiveness. The church wants people to remain obedient, pay full tithe and 'suffer' so LDS 'god' will view them as worthy to get to the Celestial kingdom. So sad.

  • Does Susan speak Spanish? (Since she lived in Colonia LéBaron) It would be wonderful if she could speak throughout Latin America, or even here in the US, to Spanish language churches! God bless her!

  • Your book was wonderfully written Susan.. While reading, I truly felt your pain and lonlieness as well as your helplessness. So much unfairness and poverty under the guise of religion. I was amazed at how each of the LeBaron brothers, especially Ervil could be so corrupt to his own family. He took after his Father I"m sure - while his brothers were more like Maud, their mother. It is amazing that you had the courage to endure for as long as you did. I applaud you for that dear woman.

  • This is a wonderful story! its so refreshing to see women that have how messed up and wrong poligamy is, i just watched some other videos where the women are completely brainwashed and still living in the FDLS community

  • Loved her book. Smart and brave woman.

  • Wow! I just finished reading "His Favorite Wife" and I had read "Shattered Dreams" a while back. All I can say is these are some brave women. I'm so glad they are happy now. Good for them! :)
