  • i dance in my everything none the less I rock happy valentines I am stag

  • That was intense....

  • Boston did something most bands didn't do. They found a sound that works, kept it going just long enough, but not too long for fans to get burned out on it. No rush to put out dozens of albums, but rather to put out just a few VERY GOOD one!

  • that bassist is so coked up...lmao

  • Quien fue el idiota que cortó el vídeo...!!!!

  • Boston will always have a place in ROCK history and always have a place in my heart...

    R.I.P Mr. Delp

  • so this is what they call rock and roll, right son?

  • Tom Scholz switched from guitar to keys halfway through the song. Awesome!!!! :-)

  • My very first live concert experience of my life(I've been to hundreds over the years) was in 1976. I saw the Doobie Brothers open for Boston in Lexington, Ky. when Rupp Arena was literally a brand spanking new arena that had just opened it's doors!! AWESOME SHOW from both bands that night!!

  • where are these organs comming from ? :S

  • Fran on bass reminds me of the Geico caveman on guitar! Great video!

  • Its Giants Stadium. Kind of hard to fill behind the stage.

  • Either this was a huge stadium, or Boston wasn't filling it? The audience looks ill attended for stadium and Boston?..I thought boston sold out everywhere back then? But i missed all the good shit growing up in early 80s..The worst.

  • @dannyhood66 I saw Boston back in 1988 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas when touring in support of the Third Stage album. They were the headliners, and playing in front of 80,000 screaming fans. Trust me I was there!!

  • @wilx218x That is cool, i thought they were just as big in 70s made come back in 86 This stadiam is not full from what i remember of boston, Every time i went to someones house the first album sit in front of everyones recored collection circa 1980, either that or highway to hell?

  • Fran rules.

  • Tom is such a stud. Nerd stud, but stud none the less. Wait, wait! This video is missing Toccatata Fague and "Get Re-ORGANized!"

  • Tom is such a stud. Nerd stud, but stud none the less.

  • Fran Sheehan on Bass made headbanging cool before it was ever called headbanging.

  • talk about bombastic bass, holy shit

  • So sad about Bradley :-(... Sing in peace, brother! Have an eternity's worth of fun times trading verses and choruses with Dio! \m/

  • 0:42 scholz was pretty close to hit the floor >.<

boston rocks!!!!! brad delp will be forever my favourite singer of all 70's!

  • ooh ahh

  • Damn Brad I still cant believe your gone.

  • the reason for the season

  • 1:10 look at him headbanging lol

  • is the drummer any good? i cant tell.

  • The same user had uploaded a Foreplay/Long Time video from the same concert wich also vanished with his (or her) account... these were simply the best Boston videos that I've seen in all my life.

  • Previously, there was a version with a church organ (or maybe a pipe organ) interlude that lasted about three minutes, but unfortunately the user who uploaded the video had ceased his account and since then I just can not find anywhere else in the entire video.

  • [Bend],Smokin,[bend] Smokin LOL

  • Fran reminds me of the Muppet Show.

  • Brad Delp... Man... It's hard to sing Boston tunes... even if they're your tunes... The man rocked... RIP Brad

  • it begins with sun and ends at night!

  • Ladies and gentlemen, Barry Goudreau THE lead guitarist for Boston.

  • Bummer... Boston had a Summer Jam scheduled in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium back in the 70s.. but it got canceled... I still have the advertisement for it in my concert book. i was ready to go to that one because Boston was always one of my favorite bands.

  • Nothin can touch the orginal lineup!!!

  • GTA sa!

  • Turn this song up!!! LOUDER THAN THAT MO FO!!!!!

  • I wonder how many brain cells Fran (bass) is losing

  • @StephenHardyMusic I think Flea must be related to this dude!

  • RIP Brad.......This really does smoke.....

  • Fran Sheehan should be inducted into the Headbanger's Hall of Fame. He was banging like a MOFO before many of the thrashers even set foot on stage.

  • Bass guitarist is doing some serious head banging! Too bad there wasn't a camera on the keyboard more of the time....

  • 1979

  • this is fucking great!

  • I'm loking for a concert on DVD anybody knows where I can get it??? please

  • The drummer has the best fro in history of mankind...

  • RIP Brad Delp

  • gotta love Boston

  • that bassist's massive head bang!... should be in the hall of fame.. love his guitar. looks like geddy lee's sunburst fender jazz

  • One of the best blues jam songs ever.

  • Boston jams.

  • haha...look at that fukkin bassist. gotta love it...the dude is in a zone.

  • I saw them back in the late 70's in Charlotte NC. Was awsome. The sound quality still beats all the other bands I've seen.

  • This would have been a 100% rockin' video except for the &^%^&*(%$^&(%$ ME-95 smack in the middle of the damn image ALL THE WAY through the vid.

  • Go on Delp!! what a star

  • This was Boston at its best! The energy was so strong and the band was on fire! You wont see a concert like this nowadays no matter what you pay!

  • late 70's

  • not crappy sound engineer... crappy audio on an old ass camera i bet... thanks for postin vid.

  • ...crappy sound engineerin'....

  • супер!!!!песня из гташки

  • I believe that was on the Don't Look Back tour. I saw them on Don't Look Back at the San Diego Sports Arena, my seats were third-row floor, on the left (when facing the stage). An incredible but dang loud show. My left ear rang for 3 days after that.

    RIP Brad Delp.

  • A studio band that was also great live. Fran Sheehan was a badass bass player.

  • Boston is #1 in my Book,

  • This is 1979 at Giants Stadium,

  • Woah. They are the best 70's rock band. Hands down.

  • THE GUY IN THE RED JUMPSUIT...HE'S PLAYING BASS, RIGHT? Whateva it is, HE IS ALL INTO IT, HUH? ROCK ON!

  • That keyboardist is a BEAST!

  • Great version

  • I love the way he pounds his beer and leaps to his feet at the beginning

  • Brad Delp - rest in peace brother - you can bet your ass I'll KEEP ON TOKIN' !

  • @Zepster77 Scholz is what...6 4' at least-tall sucker!

  • I can't help but think of Freaks & Geeks when I watch this.

  • I thought BOSTON was to soft 30 years ago. Now when I'm older I really like them.

  • Music to shake the head, the body an cellebrate the good things, the friendship and life. I miss him so much , Brad!!

Tom is like an alien.. plays from another planet

  • they're fucking insane live

    P-town Maine represent!

  • Hiya! This video was recorded June 17th 1979. Not 1980 :P Nice choice of upload tho!

  • You are correct. Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ - All day concert with Todd Rundgren, Poco, The Outlaws.....and Boston! I was there.

  • I have the bootleg DVD :P Really neat that you were there. Did the speakers sound messed up like this soundboard recording does?

  • Like the they mention once or twice, there was a lot of rain. That never helps for sound. The sound was passable. It was your average stadium PA system. Although as a bass player I like that on this recording the bass comes out well.

  • Later on in the DVD, Brad says "Yea we just had the worlds largest wet T-shirt competition. I see a few winners out there..." XD

  • they took the boston homepage out! :{

  • Mago de Oz!!!!!!
