Alpine ERE-G180 Old School EQ Equalizer Car Stereo

I've got a similar old school car graphic eq that I want to use between my LCD TV and a pair of powered speakers. I tried it recently using a 12 volt PSU - it sounded OK, but had a quiet hum in the background. I'm guessing that this might be mains hum from the PSU... Does anyone have advice on using 12 volt car audio equipment with mains audio gear? Do I need a special 'isolating' 12v transformer to avoid this background hum? Thanks.

That EQ model DIDNT have much of an LED meter display...the Pioneer PYRAMID 705 Equalizer combo 300 Watt amp has a colorful Digital Display with 7 Illuminated slider frequency controls, the downside is that these 705 COMBO units are hard to find in working order-Hell,even Ebay dont have much of those 12 volt DC classic 7 band 1980's digital display equalizers,very few can be found-same goes for those rare SANYO M9935K GHETTO BLASTERS with the LED meter in top left corner,mounted next to tuner

This eq is amazing!.. I have one like it but except mine is not in the best conditions but still works..

I just got one and its a dream come true the music sound so clear even with my alpine cda 7998 phantom face wich is a glorios car stereo if you ad to your sistem thi s eq.you dont want to get out of your car.

i have one with my kw avx 810 and is amazing very rich clear crispy easy to install small the lights are beatiful i love it more than my dvd

I agree with you 100%. Best eq/crossover ever made. Easy install and easy to use.
