The Bible says a man shud have short hair n women to have long hair for covering bt not a literal veil cloth! .....that if u r a follower of Christ teachings! in that case, if Christ teaches man to have short hair, isnt he a man so Jesus wud surely not break his own teachings.....and so y is it that Christ is shown to have long hair??? somethings fishy!

In Hebrew it means 'revealer of hidden things' but in Egyptian, a few explanations exist. 'Djed pa netjer ef 'anekh' =the god speaks and he lives or 'Zat en af pa'ankhu' which means 'He who is called Life'.

If the Hyksos were ruling Egypt during Joseph's time (as seems likely) then the explanation is probably Semitic (Hebrew-like).
