Both languages are prominent in Southern region of Africa. Zulu is mainly spoken in South Africa only, though there are a few exceptions. Swahili is spoken all over the Eastern and Southern Africa. It is the lingua franca for most of the countries there. Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania all have Swahili as there official language.
