  • hey how much did you pay for that shortwave radio? I am in the process of ordering a Kaito WRX-911 AM/FM Shortwave Radio and I was wondering what you would recommend?

  • JEWS want internet closed.Rev 2:9..3:9,,they are the Synagogue of satan

The Communists are against religion (Christianity),and they seek to destroy religion;yet, when we look deeper into the nature of Communism,we see that it is essential nothing else than a religion(Judaism)

(A Program for the Jews and Humanity,Rabbi Harry Waton, p.138)

Jews are Ashkenazi,Khazars, they adopted judaism(satanism)in 740 black see kingdom

Please read this book for free on internet.

    Who is Esau-Edom/Who is Esau-Edom

  • Go to Best Buy and ask about shortwave. They'll look at you like you're from Mars. (And a "station" or other boat anchor is useless when you need to move fast.)

  • i have a blast w/ my little 15 dollar kaide kk-9702.im waiting for a tecsun PL660.but until then my little radio brings in freq.from around the globe!!!

    73

  • @johnu78 so what are short radios for? are they like 2-way radios (walkie talkies)? My alarm clock has radio is that similar? lol

  • @istrehn

Do a wikipedia search on "shortwave radio receiver", then you'll find your answer. Take care, John

  • @istrehn short wave radios have been around since about the 1920s. They operate on frequencies (the upper AM band) that let you hear radio broadcasts from all over the world.....Cuba, England, Germany, Russia etc, etc. They are not like walkie talkies, they are only for listening. This is how people used to get news from all over the world before the internet & computers. If the Internet ever went down in an emergency you could still hear whats going on.

  • Get an R-390A. a REAL radio, not a cheap toy. Yeah, expensive, heavy, but its mil-spec & a good one will outlive you..

  • Its also just really interesting to listening to. I don't really believe in the kill switch or most other conspiracy theories, and do not like Alex Jones.

However, it is a life saver when your power goes out. I've had a couple of different times when the power was out that my shortwave came in handy, both for information and to help relieve boredom.

  • @815Sox

Thank you for your comment. Take care, John

  • @815Sox lols yeah i know what you mean I bought one right before the hurricane went near Maine and my neighborhood lost power for 5 days they a great to have especially for emergencies

  • Lets hope that radio was not made in China.

  • @evilunixuser1

I think it was made in Japan.

  • Best bands are 20 meter, 11 meter (cb), 10 meter, and 2m.

  • @Froddofromtheshire

    Thank you for that.

  • GreaT advice !! , you can listen to 4840Khz for Alex Jones show

  • @77TheBesT

I've listened to his show many times via shortwave.

Be sure to watch my video about how to make a shortwave antenna.

    Take care, John

  • @johnu78 oh jesus! Alex Jones is nothing but a disinfo agent working for Israel. Typical propaganda. If you want real truth look at the war crimes of Israel.

  • @77TheBesT God help us if thats all we could listen too.

  • WE HAVE A SW (SHORTWAVE BAND) ON OUR STEREO BUT I CANT MAKE IT TO WORK. IT'S JUST ALL NOISE. WHAT DO I DO TO SET IT UP?

  • @buckace27

I would have to see it in order to try to make it work. You may want to do some google searches on how to configure your specific system. Or try your local radio shack and tell them what you're trying to do.

  • Do it the. We all need internet in our daily lives for example; Jobs, shopping, reasearching for homework, finding out information, etc. Once you shut it down we will end up job less, then what happens? We start riots, etc.

  • Nice radio BUT a radio without a tuning dial is a royal pain! A E5 from Eton is a better choice!

  • @KC8YOQ

Yes, I agree with you. Take care, John

  • Good advice...thanks!

  • @Ira0321

You're very welcome. Thanks for watching.

  • @wasssuppp08 Paranoia? You don't live here, and you don't have your finger on the pulse here. No, we don't trust them. Economy will be collapsing soon enough. Peace.

  • well united states shouldn gathered indenpendence from great britain.

  • It would be really cool, to maybe hear some underground stuff here in the U.S. But it seems to me though, unless you're fluent in other languages, it wouldn't do you any good listening to other countries stations.

  • @YourTacticalGuru bbc broadcast in eglish all over the world. plus you can hear U.S. hams talk from across the country

  • I would buy one, but how much time would it take for me to find a station which isn't controlled by wingnuts, fascists, white supremacists, etc.? I hate to say this, but shortwave radio is INFESTED with this type of B.S.

  • @MiracleMile90

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Many foreign news services transmit news and music on the shortwave bands. Get the book I mention in my antenna video to find a directory on the different stations and transmit times. Good luck with it. -John

  • @MiracleMile90 yeah, stop that fringe thinking. Everyone should be exactly the same with no individualism or right to think what they will!

  • @peterson553: WTF was up with that? =/

  • @MiracleMile90 Well if that bothers you (like those terms even apply) Just watch the "mainstream television" it's infested with liberals, homosexuals, jewish supremacists, etc. I think you need to stay off shortwave. We would appreciate it.

  • @MrMindShifter: Yeah, nice try, Nazi. ""I swear to God you fuckin' niggers keep it up. I love it. Some day EVERYONE is going to lash back out at you."

    Caught you red-handed. >=)

  • @MiracleMile90 What? I said "niggers" and now I'm a Nazi? Well, thank you! I'd rather be a Nazi than fuckstick like you any day. Go blow your daddy. I caught you red handed being a liberal pussy.

  • @MrMindShifter: LMAO...........whiny neo-Nazi is whiny. =p

  • How much did you pay for that shortwave radio?

  • @FULLMETALVAMP87

It was about $65.00 with shipping. Thanks for watching and take care. -John

  • @wasssuppp08 - I'm not an american, but have been looking at the developments there, and the impact on the rest of the world. If your post is serious, and you really didn't see the advance of the police state there, you've been either not paying attention, or are purposely downplaying the situation.

IMO the only way to counterbalance a police state is to protest against it, and find alternatives for controlled communication channels. The internet is going to be killed. LIVE WITH IT!

  • @reptilespantoso: They can't really 'kill' the internet......but I am greatly concerned about the proposed restrictions. It won't stop the wanna-be terrorists{Aryan Nations, KKK, Council of 'Conservative Citizens', Hamas, JDL, etc.} from doing their thing, and in fact, would probably hurt those of us who want to expose these extreme right wingnuts for the scum they truly are.

  • @MiracleMile90 WikiLieaks: Breaks ground for internet regulation. Breaks ground for world court system. Sends message to Americans that if you speak out against the gov. there may be consequences, and eventually will. Changes the course of WW3 which began on Sept 11 2001.

  • @emerson24: I'm not really against Wikileaks at all, tbh, but I do wonder what's been going on with Mr. Assange over there in the land Down Under............there is, unfortunately, evidence that he might have been a victim of mind control..........

  • @wasssuppp08

Do you live in the U.S.?

  • w w w.trisquare.us makes Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (fhss) 2 way radios and some sporting good stores like Dunhams sell them, the 2 way radios use technology similar to the us military, and Jamming (fhss) is pretty difficult, some of there 2ways also have text messaging also. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst, those who don't prepare, if and when something happens, you'll wish you did!

  • @glensmalll

    Thanks for posting that.

  • Great video!

  • Whats wrong with strings and cups? It worked as children. LOL

  • @skyding8962

Those were the good old days. :o)

  • @johnu78

We might need to legalize hemp growing in order to be able to supply enough string long distances. :P

  • SW reception is very sensitive to any kind of radiation. In case of a nuclear accident or attack, SW listeners will know early because it will destroy all reception. A fire or chemical accident will not disturb reception, so it is useful there too.

  • @LittlPussi

I didn't know that. Thank you for posting that information.

  • @johnu78 SW reception gets disturbed by lots of innocent radiation too. A TV that's on, an internet-modem, a cellphone that has it's battery charged, etc. Try it, carry your radio close to those sources of radiation, and listen. Especially when the station is not very strong.

  • @LittlPussi - There's a bigger problem too, if you're close enough to the nuke, and that's the EMP (electromagnetic pulse) created by all nuclear devices, which will fry all electronics within a certain range of the explosion.

  • @0rip0 You are absolutely right. So that gives that information to all TV and radio-listeners (computer-users etc), not only SW.

  • Shortwave radio is great. When I left Europe I bought my first one. 1987. Listened all the time through the 90s BBC, Radio Moscow, Deutsche Welle, Radio Netherlands. The last couple of years, the internet has taken more time, but i still have it and listen to it. It really is the only media that can't be controlled. Unfortunately many broadcasters have cut their sending times recently.

  • @LittlPussi

    Thank you for watching.

    Take care,

    John

  • @Renada20101

Thank you very much. I hope to have my own shortwave station one day. Thanks again for helping get the word out.

    Take care,

    John

  • Get a station not a receiver.

  • @Imprint0827

Everyone should have at least one shortwave receiver.

  • @johnu78 Only a receiver is not enough, I believe that govt can control what they speak in radio. A mobile station, at low cost, is also necessary for establishing communication networks.

  • @johnu78

I understand where you're coming from. Most people don't have the time or money to get a ham license and transceiver. Which is why I say they should at least get a shortwave receiver.

For the record I have an amateur radio license, and I also have a VHF/UHF radio.

  • AWESOME IDEA! Please teaches about shortwave!!!!!

  • @dinogrower

johnu78 is a great asset to the youtube community.

  • Just minutes ago the Supreme Court of the United States delivered their opinion on McDonald v. City of Chicago. The Court has decided that the

2nd Amendment does apply to the states in a 5-4 decision.

Here are the results according to the SCOTUS blog: * Alito announces McDonald v. Chicago: reversed and remanded * Gun rights prevail * The opinion concludes that the 14th Amendment does incorporate the Second Amendment right recognized in Heller to keep and bear arms in self defense

  • I hope we get more broadcasters on SW, the ones we used to enjoy listening to such as the BBC World Service, Radio Moscow, Deutche Welle, Swiss Radio International. I do encourage shortwave radio listening, I have been into shortwave since 1987 and love it! I have more than 1 shortwave radio and antennas in the living room and bedroom. Still want to get a Ham license soon.

  • @gccengineering1996

    I'm glad to hear it.

The Tech license is very easy to get. You can get the book from Amazon. It'll cost you about $40 for the exam fee and the book.

    Good luck with it.

    -John

  • For instance, our company has a private highspeed comm channels that interconnects 5 main branches: NY, CHICAGO, LA, TORONTO, & LONDON. Within each branch, we have Long range WiFi, G3/G4, fiber, and our own Satellites which in turn have channel links to other corporations, ISPs, and Universities & institutes. We use common carrier lines for non-critical and backup use. There is little any govt could do to 'kill' our internet access - its the nature of the internet.

  • I think it is always a good idea to have multiple communication methods, I don't think your idea that the govt has a kill switch is viable. When DARPA invented the internet, its intent was to thwart the very threat you describe. The internet has no single point of control - it is a decentralized spiderweb of independent interconnected machines with multiple routing paths faciliated by microwave, satellite, land lines, WiFi, high speed private and public communication channels.

  • @notfauxnooz

    Thank you for your feedback.

    Take care,

    John

  • Dont forget a good 56k modem and a list of bbs's that are still active with open posting.

  • @ElCajoia

    Great tip!

  • Glad you covered shortwave on your channel, John. The second wave is coming. I recommend folks be prepared.. Have transmit capability as well. GMRS radios are still cheap.

  • @papaboule

I thought about doing a video on my handheld shortwave transceiver.

  • Buy a shortwave radio while you still can!

  • @bivholharis

Thanks for watching. Take care, John

  • I have had a Sony ICF2010 since 1988, probably one of the best SW radios ever. I recommend it highly.

John, will do be making videos about the beaches of St Pete when the oil arrives there?

    Thanks for the great videos.

  • @countryhorsefive

I'll probably be taking an extended vacation from Florida once oil hits the Tampa Bay area.

  • A viable alternative to shortwave radios is a good IP address hider. If your computer shows up as being in, say Europe, you can use European internet. Open VPN's are another alternative.

  • @longbobby1

Thanks for the tip. Take care, John

  • @johnu78 Hotspot shield hides the I.P., encrypts the signal and uses proxy servers for more privacy and to help thwart the censors. FTA satellite is a good way to receive English language from foreign satellite broadcasters, no dependence on USA satellites. awarepatriot has a video about this watch?v=HUTtrzlaVy

  • @longbobby1 Yes, but in the unlikely event that the government shuts down the Internet, your cable ISP will comply shutting access to your cable modem, same for Verizon FiOS, DSL, etc, all modems will report offline access to you, and in the cable sense, all what they have to do is unplug the CMTS which is like a giant super router where all cable modems meets and connects too, immediately knocking you offline, how's using 'proxies/VPN' going to help in such a case? you NEED net access first.

  • @yafilmDOTcom

Johyn partially answered your question. Get a satellite dish and then use the IP hiders and/or Open VPN's. Once you are picking up satellite signals you are independent from the cables.

  • Hmm... is it possible to repurpose cell phone towers to jamb short-wave? If they are attempting to lock down the internet, they probably have plans like that too. Sounds paranoid I suppose... but with these leftie dogs, who knows the limit of their machinations.

  • @PowerForGood

I don't think they can do that with shortwave because there are too many frequency bands. I don't see how they could block all of them.

  • @PowerForGood rofl- "leftie" as if that were allowed in the u.s.- not much is making me laugh these days so thanks

  • Hi John, What will happen to this radio in an EMP attack. Nice radio, I own a grundig similar to yours. Any tarballs in St. Pete yet?

  • @mja2035

EMP protection is a whole other issue.

No tarballs in St. Pete.... yet. But they are coming.

    Take care,

    John

  • @johnu78 Thanks for your reply John, emp's are a real threat due to the electronics we all have. I hope a pray Florida fares well with the looming oil leak. Have a great day ! Mike in CO.

  • @mja2035

The oil disaster is going to be a deathblow for Florida's economy. Mark my words on that.

    Take care,

    John

  • Good review man, I bought the Grundig G6 Aviator a month ago for all of the reasons you just described. 5*****

  • @gregman909

    Thank you very much.

Grundig makes some great radios. Be sure to watch my video on how to make a shortwave antenna for less than $1.00.

    Take care,

    John

  • I had put this idea on the back burner....you've just reminded me its time to think about it some more!

  • @SimplyIncredulous

I two portable radios, the one I reviewed in the video, and I also have a analog one. I actually use the analog one more. I'm not sure why, I just seem to like it better. Be sure to watch my video on "How to make a shortwave antenna for less than $1.00."

Thanks for watching and take care.

    -John

  • Thanks for the review

  • @larnem

You're welcome. Thanks for watching. -John

  • Thanks for the Tip on the Possibilities of a nuclear scenario and What we should have !!!

  • @MrTommyboy9

You're very welcome. I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching. -John
