  • 5 heads cars linked together , would that be too dumpy to move? i re-pose it here, just for the sake of World-Cup is happening recently !! :)

  • Class driver !

    Nice video chief !

  • My earliest memory of South African Railways (as it was called then) was a train travel programme filmed in late 1979 with two or three of these hauling the Blue Train. Fell in love with the place at once!

  • 電気機関車4重連だ!!!

    南アフリカの電気機関車、日本のより迫力凄い!!!

  • Those sidings are only used to park locomotives and only used a few times a day so there is no need to automate them.

  • They havo no motorised junctions???

Cool video but I don't like the model of the locomotives.

  • They have the beauty of functionality

  • Now... is this the South African idea of the proper haulage for a regular goods train? I have just seen - again... - your "Full Power", and I must see all this - and the lovely Rovos steam locos, of course - before I die, or I will never rest in peace.

  • oh man, i hate these shockinx, when train drivers blow the horn suddenly :D gotta digitalize my 2001 vids from beaufort wes and matjiesfontein...

  • Excelente video , saludos Gustavo Argentina

  • Hi Barend. You had a lekker skrik when the 18 E hooted. I have had many similar experiences. They do it on purpose.

  • Lovely vid, Barend - I'm really jealous about the weather you're getting - just look at my vids, and you'll see why!! It's funny though - in the UK, we would never undertake a 'light engine' movement with all loco's drawing the 'juice' - I'm sure 1 Class 18E would be enough!
