I guess I have an unpopular opinion, but 18 is a perfectly reasonable age limit, both because of legal issues (like being a legal adult and being legally able to make your own decisions) and because of the kind of challenges that come with the responsibilities of being an adult. Balancing those challenges with a difficult relationship is something I imagine this show will be interested in.
For everyone who is complaining about it being 18 and over, I emailed the show and stated that my boyfriend was 19 and that I was 16, and they still called me for a chance to be on the show. So don't fret. Take a chance. This is a chance for YOU to be with the one you love. What have you got to lose? Just try. the worst that could happen, you can be where you are now. And you know the age limit is 35, and the requirement is 18. Not sure exactly which one you're talking about. But no one wants to see two 50 year olds meet; it'd just be weird.
Plus, the age requirement is there to ensure that there isn't any weird age difference like 16 and 30 or something.

I was in an online relationship with Jake who lives 53.23 miles away from me but we broke up back in October 2011 because we couldn't drive to each other because we don't have a car or a drivers license. I live near the Missouri State Line and Jake lives near the Iowa State Line. Jake is 21 and I'm 20 years old. We are still friends but we aren't ready to date again. So I don't know if they can help me and Jake if we are just friends now.

Me and my girlfriend are not so far from each other. She's from another city, and it's like 35.8 miles away. But since we're in a homosexual relationship, her mother hates me, and she has forbidden us of seeing each other. But we still meet once a month, usually... and she's perfect for me. I'm glad I found her, and it was the stupidest way, but gosh... I love her so much. I hope you guys also have this chance... it's amazing.

I guess I have an unpopular opinion, but 18 is a perfectly reasonable age limit, both because of legal issues (like being a legal adult and being legally able to make your own decisions) and because of the kind of challenges that come with the responsibilities of being an adult. Balancing those challenges with a difficult relationship is something I imagine this show will be interested in.

For everyone who is complaining about it being 18 and over, I emailed the show and stated that my boyfriend was 19 and that I was 16, and they still called me for a chance to be on the show. So don't fret. Take a chance. This is a chance for YOU to be with the one you love. What have you got to lose? Just try. the worst that could happen, you can be where you are now. Which is why I tried for it, and now.. I'm only one step away from being with him. <3

So I guess it just depends on luck and fate (Or whatever you want to call it) But you have to remember to be open minded to the whole idea and just be friendly and nice.

but i'm excited for this show. seeing reunion shows with army dad's and their kids always makes me cry, so this'll be worse since i can relate.

Not just because that's the legal adult age, but because the people will actually be in an adult relationship, and hopefully it'll last. (1) I met him at a concert and we've been talking everyday since then. We only met once so I don't meet that requirement & I'll be 18 next month, so I don't meet that requirement either. It sucks because it's so hard to be able to see each other, money and with work and school. Even if we had met once, this is still hard. I'm seeing him in 10 days for a week and I am so grateful I was able to afford it and given a week off with work and school. My story isn't so drastic but I know how it feels.
