There are only 3 or 4 people that have lived to tell about that jump, Rescue has pulled a lot of people out of there and it was recovery not a rescue. Who ever you are your very lucky to be able to tell about it. People come from all over to see the Salmon River Falls and don't think about safty, or the big rocks in the bottom !

I am a volunteer fireman for the town these falls are located and can attest to the height. Also - please don't jump I have a vivid memory of one that didn't make the water- I was one of the rescuers who put the body in a helicopter and it wasn't good!

@enjoimz1 Yea, I'm alive, but would def not recommend jumping. Hurt like hell when I hit the water and it actually ripped my short clear in half! I was lucky that I jumped so far out b/c the wind of the falls actually blew me quite a bit back (a little too close for comfort). I went with a friend who was also going to jump but I actually convinced him not to because it was so sketchy...

Who is this person? If you know i would like to know as well. The reason being is i live like 5 miles from the falls. My dad and uncle scraped a gentlemen's body off the rocks at the bottom of these falls. A few years back another kid fell off these falls and died too. On a little bit of a positive note i knew i guy who jumped off and lived. But later in life was hit crossing the road in front of his house and later died. You have to respect these falls.
