  • I'm a little old for this band, but I always liked this album in particular.

  • how about you fuckers sing every night for a whole tour, screaming, falsetto etc.... you would probably be boo'ed off stage the second fucking night

  • wow, what a horrible performance. this guy has to stop smoking so many cocks, his voice is shot.

  • Great song! Great bad, this guy is seriously bad at live singing. I mean like bad karaoke night. He's got a good voice, but going way out of range for songs that he sings almost everyday. Awesome recording artist though.

  • Nise video but the sound sucks to low

  • IM SEEING THEM TONIGHT OMFGGGGGGGGGGG

  • Tired of fake spiritual enlightenment information? Is your quest for truth beginning to feel like running around in circles?intuition, healing powers, it is all part of human nature.Let the spiritual revolution begin THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM

  • So pissed off I've gotta miss 3EB to see Iron Maiden in February. They're playing at exactly the same time! Q_Q

  • i miss third eye blind, i just downloaded a bunch of their stuff that i remember from when i was little... great band

  • @ddcho92 3eb has been my favorite band since i was in 4th grade and im 20

  • I wouldn't say most under rated band ever, but they definitly deserve more radio play

  • I still remember when their first album came out and I still have it. I also still have their second album.

  • Dunno if it's just the audio mix for the video itself, but there needs to be more guitar. Such a guitar driven song on the record kind of falls flat in that regard here.

  • lol, how are these guys underrated? I've yet to meet someone that can actually say "I don't like theb"

  • @simensays I would say they are only in that 90's fan like myself might feel many others downplayed their talents because they were so popular and had a mega-hit. I've found myself dismissing a band at first because they're huge, only later discovering that hey! They actuallt are good :) Switchfoot is an example for me. No 3YB, but who is!

  • Comment removed

  • @ddcho92 That's a blatant lie because I too am Canadian! Jumper was HUGE when it came out! Then again, I'm from Toronto

  • @simensays haha well i'm pretty young as in like <20, no one in my age (that i've met) has heard of them except my girlfriend :/

  • @ddcho92 im 16, this is my favorite band. :)

  • when he wears that hat he reminds me of the little boy version of jamie kennedy in malibu's most wanted

best band from the 90's and 00's by far

  • Stephan Jenkins is a god!

  • I saw them play this back in 1998 at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater with Billy Idol.

  • I LOVE 3EB but they are a much better studio band than live...I saw then in DC on Thanksgiving 2004 (05'?) and they are good but dont quite capture the energy they get in the studio...still...they are underated and rule!

  • @pdbordelon

I agree 100%. I have been a fan for years, and just started getting into them again. this is the first live vid I have seen by them, and now I am a little unsure...

  • The guy you are watching play guitar was not in the band in 1997 nor did he write or record any material on the self titled or Blue.

The man who he is portraying is Kevin Cadogan. Look it up.

  • @duckyboyclub Why do you feel the need to let everyone know who the original guitarist was? Don't get me wrong, Cadogan is an inspiration, but his status as the original guitarist of 3eb isn't the centre of the world

Now go and have another caesarean you whore.

  • they preformed last night on HDnet me and my dad watched it

  • this song reminds me of myself...i love it

  • same here

  • @2468148 simply because you can sing and hate the fact that he can, you gotta go around and hate... listen " american idol" or i should say fuck face. why dont you shove a mic up your ass since it doesnt belong near your mouth..

    -much love-

  • Ok now the Party has officially started

  • thats not true at all, i saw him at musikfest around august and he was amazing

he sang a michael jackson song and he sounded just like him, his range is incredible!

  • SJ is a hit or miss singer live. I have heard him sing great live, and I've heard him fail pretty badly. What he lacks in vocal chops (though he may have the best rock scream this side of the sixties) he definitely makes up for in songwriting. Whether with Cadogan (my preferred by like one tenth of a point) or Tony (better guitarist, less impressive songwriter... though "invisible" is a sick song) no one can deny SJ's ability to create a perfect pop song while maintaining musical credibility

  • Is SJ the only remaining original member in the band??

  • No Brad the drummer is still around

  • @morrowkp1 he's also the drummer in Year Long Disaster

  • no everyone is the same except the bass player.

  • The lead guitarist was Kevin Cadogan. S/T and Blue

  • weak

  • its aight, not as awsome as the studio verison, but often their live performances are dissapointing, whatever, they still own

  • If you like this band it's probably because of the original album, which was CO-WRITTEN by Kevin Cadogan. Kevin wasn't satisfied with the second one, blue, and wanted to improve it. Stephan just wanted to get on with producing pop for cash and pursuing his own career in TV/ movies and Kevin's artistic fussiness was getting in his way. It was never about the music for him . BTW I wonder what he's done to Arion. Watch your back Brad.

  • i think it's okay live

  • this sucks live.

  • this is the only song i actually enjoyed, and still sometimes enjoy from these guys. Musically, except for maybe a freak Gen-X shout-out by Jim Carrey in his latest movie they're not relevant anymore. Basically touring as a nostalgia act. Stephen was a douche to my friend backstage in 99' by the way. Just letting that be known.

  • i was also a douche to your friend...just letting everyone know

  • I've been to two 3eb concerts (including this one) and I usually LOVE these boys live, but I really dislike SJ's delivery on this song.

  • wow, this is awful live.

  • i saw them on some show a few days ago, and have always been a fan of these guys, specifically this CD, but theyre awful live... in just about every vid ive seen. thats disheartning to a fanboy such as myself.

  • have you ever been to a concert of theirs?

  • how would that deter my perspective on them if i've seen several videos and live performances of them-- coming to the same conclusion??

  • seeing a band live, and seeing a live video performance is a totally different experience

  • i've been to tons of shows, and seen plenty bands-- and every band that i've enjoyed live sounded at least decent on live recordings, and or taped recordings.

i dont think taped recordings can alter someone's voice.

stage presence and energy isnt all that matters when you see a band-- if they sound like shit, it's not nearly as enjoyable.

again, im a big fan. ive stated it. dont skew your perspective otherwise.

  • well if he's seen this video, then that means he has...

  • great stuff

  • the other band kicked more azz sorry but this rocks too

  • Thank you!

  • Stephen Jenkins-the man who never ages & kicks arse!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!.. :D!

  • Thank you!

  • Do they have "A Best Of"?

  • they only have about 4 albums so for right now, but their self titled album has all their hits

  • they do have a best of

  • Ok smart alec. It's "A Collection"

  • sorry for the confusion but my name is not alec

  • ok smart harley

  • yeah it's called "third eye blind: a collection". it's on itunes if you're gunna buy it.

  • yeah dude, third eye blind greatest hits, idk what this guy dukeball126 is talking about

  • I hate to tell you but I saw them a couple weeks ago, and he sounded great. This is an old video, he has had voice lessons and doesnt jump around on stage as much. His voice is very good.,

  • fuckin hater

  • fuck off ass fucker

  • well I'll volunteer

hah actually I know their whole set on the drums, but not the bass sadly =[

  • I've seen them live and I just realized they had no bassist. wtf? hah

  • wait, nevermind that was stupid

  • That sure is a goofy hat.

  • haha, he wore it when he came to my town x)

  • I saw them about a month ago for free at Wake Forrest. Awesome live band. This song was great.

  • They are coming to Albany, NY on Mother's Day weekend. Best thing is, it's FREE!

  • cant wait to see these guys live..may 16th!

  • man if they come to houston, ill be the first one to buy a ticket. holy shit i love these guys.

  • this is my song....its true about me

  • how come this song isn't more popular this is probably my favorite song by them

  • @dainomyt cuz more poeple r lame who likes just bb

  • holy fuck! i want stephan's hat!

  • LOL @ 1:55, Tony is great. Much better than Kevin, imo.

  • No, i definitely think Kevin Cadogan was 1000 times better. Deep down I know they regret letting him go. If Stephan Jenkins reads this he will think to himself that I'm right. I mean, think about it. With him they sold Millions of records, without him, they didn't. The third eye blind songs were good because of Jenkins and Cadogan together, they f*cked it up by releasing him.

  • Kevin is a douche, Tony is awesome and just as good at guitar.

  • wrong. just wrong man. the first album is pure headbangin rock and roll songwriting. they were never the same. they lost all street cred after they started comin out with that radio shit

  • Kevin was in the band when they released, what you call, "radio shit"

  • Most of their radio hits were from the first album (with the exception of Never Let You Go). The first album is great and everything, but Blue was their best IMO. You should give it a listen.

  • Actually Tony was a member of 3EB b4 Kevin was, albeit in a very early incarnation. Tony and Kevin played on stage together a number of times b4 Kevin split. They both are original members in that sense I suppose, but the truth is 3EB was never the same after Kevin left. I still love them to death, but that chemistry they had on the debut album is gone. Those early songs that derived their power from the blending of Kevin's guitar and Stephen's lyrics is now just Stephen's lyrics. Shame really.

  • Would you STFU please? God you're a spamming little piece of shit, grow up dude. You go around youtube screaming about Stephan Jenkins being a liar.

Anyways, this song is epic and this live version is awesome.

  • God their amazing live. Much better than back in the day

  • Most under rated band ever

  • If only they had made the solo longer. As soon as it catches you, it's over.

  • wow! Stephens voice sounds great in this. Ive seen them 5 times live. I downloaded some live stuff from Poughkeepsie and was a little disappointed. Then saw them in may but really in a state of mind to judge. Saw them AGAIN in October and was happy to hear an improvement, but this has to be the best live version ive EVER herd.

  • is it me or has stephan's voice live gotten like, 100000 times better since 3eb started?! i didn't even know that was possible!!

  • Every time I watch a live video from 2006 and on I'm amazed by his voice. I was stunned when I saw 3eb at Poughkeepsie in 4/07. From the opening "Losing a Whole Year" to the BEST live version of "The Background" I have ever heard, his voice was on fire! It proves that his S/T sound was not due to production. SJ really can duplicate those vocals live. I think he's taking much better care of himself these days and is more relaxed. It's so awesome to hear him sing like this!

  • @sky431 well he trimmed down a bit and if ya think about it your voice is like a instrument sometimes you can get better at playing it, and for this situation and many other musicians yes their voices can get better

  • @sky431 what is wrong with you its terrible in this can't you hear how bad he is struggling to hit his notes.

  • The best live version of this song I've ever heard!!!

  • this was literally the most amazing concert I have ever been to.

  • great crowed.

  • didnt know these guys were still together, fuck ya! i loved this band back in the day, seen em live years ago! very few bands kick ass like this anymore

  • a real shame arion salazar couldn't have been there

  • CAN I GRADUATE!!

  • This whole concert kicked ass.

  • Sweet!!!

  • Brutal! \m/ Rock on

  • NICE. We were there, and have been waiting months for this. Cannot wait to see the rest - two amazing nights.

  • KICK. ASS.
