This song was written by steppenwolf way before Selena gomez was born So she used it and tricked the younger generation into believing it is her work. It is pure karaoke the lyrics are the same the melody is the same the only difference is that original had a better singer. Oh by the way the term magic carpet ride refers to LSD not a actual magic carpet.

I love this funky rythm in it and in this version because of the distortion you cant hear much of it. Only in the guitar solo if you call it like that.
