i have a dr 650 2004 ,, same as the one the dude is driving ... The best tire for Wheelie are Bridgstone but they come for 150$ easyly and i can barely do a thousand Km with them ...but be sure It will lift ur bike even when u dont want  to ahah its like a soft Tire

KLR 650-Is bigger than dr 650- and, used extensively for dual purpose. BMW has some good adventure bikes too. But, to me klr wins hands down

Dude, how did you get the front end off the ground lol,, i can barely get mine to lift. Such a heavy front end. Did it easy when i dropped a tooth in front sprocket.

The 650 and 400 have roughly the same power but the 650 has more low end torque, more weight, and a slightly higher top speed. The 400 has a slight edge in acceleration.

love the video! I just got a DR. a year ago(my first street legal bike) and I love it! Tons of torque and handles pretty well off road compared to other "dual sports" like the versy, V-Strom or GS which I wouldnt dream of riding on a dirt road, let alone a trail.

I've seen people take those big GS's places i wouldn't take a KTM 250. I was out one ride, on my DR and someone on a new 1200GS adventure passed me, with a passenger, on a singletrack trail through the desert. it was wild.

The big dual sport thumpers are great for wheelies. Enough power and easy to modulate at the balance point. I had an XL600 years ago, much like your 650 it was fun to wheelie.

I have a DRZ 400 now for off road. A 650 would be fun for screwing around on and adventure riding!

Damn right,,stupid suicide tires. Ran me straight off a corner the other day, they should come with a warning,,, "These tires are not intended for use when braking, turning, or looking at mud". after 9000km got my first scratch...stupid trail wings...They walk all over the palce..GO PIRELLI MT 21 ;)
