They've spoken about this before. Orders came from on high that their budget was cut and they had to save money, and Firefly was a very expensive show to make. The TV exec said she knew how great the show was and really didnt want to do it, but that was the tough decision that had to be made. It REALLY sucks, but no-one pulled it for not liking it. Hopefully Firefly will be back soon!

@thedupper No, people are right to blame the morons at Fox for Firefly's cancellation. Sure, less people knew about Firefly and watched it than they wanted but part of that was Fox's fault. They aired the episodes out of order so the show never stood a chance. The order they aired them in was 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 4, 5, 9, 10, 14, 1 and then they missed out episodes 11, 12 and 13. Now, to most of us that wouldn't have made a lick of sense but it did to prune-face Murdoch's company.

Considering the number of references to his previous roles that I've seen here on youtube that ARE blatant, it's not much of a reach to think this is another one. Their teams were always in twos and they wore blue gloves. River, who was held at the Academy, always said " Two by two, with hands of blue." when Blue Sun Corp agents were near. That's where the hand thing he does comes from.

If you watch Nathan's hands in this clip, he holds up two fingers on first his right then left hand and then holds them out in front of them. it's really quick, and I didn't notice it at first ^_^
