ur video states "xp sp3 update"... did u update it or did u hav a clean install like sp2..by that i mean first delete partition and do a fresh sp3 Cd from microsoft.?
y does my asus eeepc 900 XP home edition isnt working properly... when i turn it on, it always says"SYSTEM BOOT FaILURE? whats wrong with that? and in everytime that i am using it turn turns odd,, i cannot type anything. or the delete button isnt working properly..?
That can't be right. I have XP on my 900 and I did a full clean install and it booted longer than that. By the way, I am using my own version of XP lite.
It was a clean install, installing service packs and drivers....it explanes everything quite clearly at the info given in the video. After one year though, i must admit it became slower...
Pretty fast. Mines come pretty close, but not close enough:
XP PRO SP3 (OEM)
CPU - AMD Turion 64 (dual core) @ 2.19 gigahertz
RAM - 2GB
BOOT time = 32 sec.
Shutdown time= 7.5 sec.
Which XP version are you using? I had Retails prior to OEM, which I found what was a little faster. I'm assuming you stripped down XP (barebones)? Did you disable any startup entries/services? Any overclocking?
Also, this is with all drivers installed, and 6 different programs (not including anti-virus, spyware/melware) running in the background during startup. RAM uses 312 MB upon startup, what about yours?
No difference. SP2/3 (Service Pack 2/3) contains essential datas such as software updates, hotfixes, security updates for windows. It's not an operating system. It's just an add-on. It's supposed to add on performance, capability, and so on.

how about its performance running skype (using built in camera) ????
does it run smooth or are there any issues (celeron 900MHz instead of atom 1,6GHz) ????
