If it's not on the US Constitution it's illegal. Are Coast Guard and Air Force consider military? If they are not then they are illegal. The US Constitution is the law of the land and if Congress wants to make new laws they must add them to the US Constitution. Given so many laws Congress pass each year, the Constitution should be very long. That's how the US Constitution works. Each state has it own Constitution and it is different from U.S. Constitution.

You really have no clue do you? The Coast Guard is only part of the Military during wartime. Not every law is added to the Constitution, only amendments/changes are added. That is why the last part of Article 1, Section 8 basically says that Congress can pass any law to put parts of the Constitution into action.

U have no clue on how the US Constitution works. U are confused with the individual state constitutions where the elected officials make laws. US Constitution on the other hand as specified in Article 1, Section 8 states that Congress can pass new laws within the confine of the previously passed law in the Constitution. That's why u have Supreme Court to decide about that. If Congress wants to pass NEW laws they have to amend it to the Constitution.

my mom and step dad started a used tire business and where doing really good. followed all the laws paid there taxes. then in early 2008 they were looking to buy a new car and when they went to the bank for the loan the bank told them that the IRS had cleared there account(6233$) with no explanation. they just stole it and this forced them to close the shop and my mom had to go back to medical billing and my step dad had to go back to odd jobs

This means that they had to have ignored every letter sent to them and all other attempts at contact.  They also would have received an intent to levy on the account. So if they ignored all that, it would be their own fault. They also would have had the right to file a claim for refund if they felt that they had paid what was due. Don't blame the IRS, blame your parents.

Hi there, I see your point, but what subsequently happened, which many people object to, was several subsequent tax "acts" of congress, which changed the 16th amendment's authority, by increasing that authority, and many would argue that those changes were so sweeping that they should have been subject to further ratification. It's an argument for those with "legal minds" to sort out, and I'm not the one for that task. I am merely presenting what has been debated back and forth for many decades.
