I used to free run about a year ago every weekend, got stopped every day I ran by the police. They got what I was doing but had to ID me, in case something was broken or stolen. Other than that no problems

Yeah Parkour and Freerunning is not at all illegal. It's just many places that are good for doing it are places such as construction sites, or rooftops, in which case it is considered trespassing therefor it is prohibited. A lot of people as well do not want you there because it has something to do with them being liable if you hurt yourself I'm not really sure. Many people also just don't even know what it is and get suspicious because to them they see you just loitering and hanging around.
