Great stuff!John has not lost that majestic voice,Since Fates Warning. For all the haters, probably young bucks.Don,t hate! You will grow, hopefully and realize it,s not all about hardcore screaming and playing.Let's see your fav band after 30 yrs sound this good!Take it from a guy that's been listening too thrash, death ,heavy ,prog metal, grind for 25 yrs.LEARN TO APPRECIATE!
The best music i heard in my life.I am a fan of fates warning since night on brocken released in 1984. Hail to you all,god bless the best music of all,and that,s this music.Thank you so much for this fantastic music.A big hello from Holland.
Mr. Arch, was sad to see you gone for so long from the industry. I listened to this album on repeat, again and again, and again, since it came out. Matheos, Joey, Bobby, Frank, the lot of you create terrific composition/playing. Thank you for creating a masterpiece that revives my faith in music.
@ChrisAufBurgh: Seconded. The one song from the cd that has "top 40" written all over it. Catchy chorus but deep lyrics. Anything that gets John's voice heard, and this band in front of as many people as possible, is a great thing. And maybe, just maybe, there will be a "new" example for singers out there so we can get away from the the cookie monsters, the opera singers, and the Hetfield clones we've endured for so long.
unfortunately the lamest song on this album was also the shortest and thus was the band's only option for a video. rest of the album is so much better than this.
1st time I heard the whole album I thought it was very good, 2nd time great, 3rd excellent!, Its one of those rare albums that gets better every time you listen to it. If you didnt think it was that good the first couple times, spin it again. If u still don't like it ,look in the yellow pages for a shrink! Seeing some of the lyrics from exodus/ awaken the guardian was cool. I just prey they come to the usa. It does not sound like hes saying the word "hallowed" on stained glass sky though?
Fucking awesome to bring out a video from legendary prog musicians. John Arch was a favorite before I knew a Dream Theater ever existed. VERY nice to SEE him in a video; he is pioneer vocalist who brought on the high pitched vocals.
@dicktravolta just dont listenen to this music anymore ive grown out of it ive played in a progband myself for a long time and still think john is the best had a great influence on me.but hust dont dig the music of fates warning after perfect symnetry anymore
Ray was very good. Very good live too, but besides being a strong singer, I didn't feel anything with his voice. I only bought two CD's with him singing.
I'm not sure what it is with Arch, but I feel so drawn to the way he sings. A little tin-ish, but a spiritual sound. I love it.
Honestly, I love this album, but I wouldn't even have bothered listening to it if it didn't have John singing on it. That man's voice is just magical.
This is far more than Prog, Prog Metal or any other label you can think of. Sublime individual contributions and an underlying impressive composition that make this record one of the best in years! Thanks for sharing this video and thanks to Matheos, Arch, Vera, Aresti and Jarzombek for releasing this gem :).
I had the pleasure of meeting John in Coventry. I sat and talked to John and his wife Jeanne. Both are very pleasant people and John has a fantastic sense of humor. I never would have imagined he would be so humble. It is great to finally see a video of him. Welcome back John and please don't disappear again...and if you are still interested I think we can market John Arch Shoe Inserts for the singer that needs support on those high notes :-)
the most standout release 2011 has to offer. John Arch is incredible, and the other members of Fates have crafted some spellbinding prog metal magic with Sympathetic Resonance. simply breathtaking.
I wonder how John Arch must feel reading all these well deserved praising comments, after all these years. "I must be doing something right". YES, you are! So please, no more decades of endless hiatus!!
Yes God Exists!!God bless Jim and John ALWAYS!!God has truely blessed John's voice throughout the years and Jim's entrepreneural idea of putting this band together with John!!
Amazing!! For the record...Fates Warning is Prog at it's BEST!! I don't care whose singing Arch or Alder - it's as good as it gets both ways! Great seeing and hearing Arch again though...way long overdue!!!
Arch-Matheos but also Fates-inourdays-Warning deserve so much more than this very small piece of cake of the commercial acceptance...But life is almost always unfair with the daring and honest artists...
Great song, and I suppose one of the more commercial songs on the CD. But it's actually one of my least liked ones, haha....And I still like it. I just love Neurotic, Any Given and Incense so much better. The whole CD is amazing though and it's great to just see them on a 'real', classy video. So long overdue.
Best album of the year hands down. John Arch's return is the biggest news metal, and hopefully this album is just the beginning of this amazing new band.
My God! . . . what a well done Vid. To have Arch in a "FWII" set-up, and a NEW FW Album w/Alder in 2012 (and Frank Aresti back too), it brings tears to my eyes :'). What a great year for Prog Metal \m/.
Welcome back John. Maybe this time you'll get the recognition you've deserved for so long. One of the best voices of any genre.

When he sings the song, he should imagine a gum ball in the back of his mouth. That will make it sound more mature, and deeper.

Incredible! it's really awesome to hear Arch's vocals so intact after many years out of the business. I hope this incarnation of FW lasts forever.
This is pretty much a FW album. Arch/Matheos is Fates as Heaven & Hell was Sabbath.
