@MrRussiaz On their 2009 album "Junior", she sings the vocals on two songs: "This Must Be It" and "Tricky Tricky". It is a good album, check it out. Also features Robyn and Lykke Li. All three of those singers are Swedish by the way.
@pbunyun88 excuse me where you talking about the royksopp comment im preety sureshe sings in more than just those two songs ive herd her sing in this must be it what else is there and a couple of other songs
@familydude51 Hi, "MrRussiaz" made a comment saying that "What Else Is There" was the only song Karin Dreijer sang for Royksopp (to his knowledge), and I was simply adding on to that by including the two songs she sings on the "Junior" album. I own the first 3 Royksopp albums, and those are the only 3 songs she sings lead vocals on for those albums. I haven't heard the entire "Senior" album, and I haven't listened to any EP's or singles, so let me know if she sings on any of those. :)
a generation ago she would have been the up there for her uniqueness. Kids to just get thew same old dross then the dross remix chopped and screwed over and out.
I agree....I think this is beautiful and amazing and I absolutely love her voice and expression, very mesmerizing! Being vocal teacher my self I can tell you that it is not easy to sing this way, it requires a lot of good technique and to simply judge it with no awareness is ignorant thing to do!

why do you come to a youtube video to fight with the other people watching it and not to quietly and respectfully enjoy a piece of art that is being presented to you free of charge by an underrated artist?
@honkyzilla Its on most pages, it baffles me, why do they feel the need? The tube self creats a lil post for people to share their reason 4 and Y, its a great (lets face it feckin huge) platform. Enjoy it or feck off :D
In the 70s Bowie tried summoning something up from the water of his pool, the water got smoky and something bubbled up. He got freaked out and stopped his occult practices soon after. This according to the book When Giants Walked The Earth about Led Zeppelin. This video reminded me of this story.
I don't think she sounds anything like Bjork! They are simply both from Scandinavian countries and so sing with a similar accent. That's like saying Elvis Presley sounds like Axel Rose, simply because they are both American.
theres alot of similarities between her and bjork...but its not a bad thing...they both are unique if thats what your trying to prove...but i think that bjork n fever ray would have the same taste in music
@VioletScorpion@VioletScorpion I'm using Scandinavia in the broadest historical and cultural sense, which would include the countries Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and even Iceland. I'm referring of course to the Nordic countries, which share a lot of common ancestry in Old Norse.
@VioletScorpion These countries have a history that spans over 1000 years, whereas the United States albeit larger and still a very colourful and culturally diverse country has a documented history starting in the late 15th century. Of course there were inhabitants prior to the Columbian voyages, but...well, we all know what happened there!
@VioletScorpion My point is simply that Karin and Bjork are from entirely different countries, with the North Atlantic Ocean separating the two pieces of land, and the fact that they sound alike to us is most likely down to the fact that we as English speakers are unfamiliar with the differences. The Icelandic language itself has remained far truer to Old Norse than that of the Swedish language, with the heavy use of verb and noun inflection.
@LOveERDos Yes, you're right I understand this. But I did say "I'm using Scandinavia in the broadest historical and cultural sense, which would include the countries Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and even Iceland. I'm referring of course to the Nordic countries, which share a lot of common ancestry in Old Norse." Check out my continued thread on the subject! @sikapena Yes, this is true in the literal sense. I was using Scandinavia to refer to the ancestry of the language and culture, rather than one geographically homogenized area. I do explain in more detail what I meant in the comments below the first one. I understand that Finland and Iceland aren't part of what is considered Scandinavia, and I didn't mean offence to anyone from those countries.
@settheraytojimmy There is a huge difference in being "American" and being "Scandinavian". Firstly, in order to be considered "Scandinavian" you need to be from Scandinavia. Americans are all not from the same countries, heritage, cultures, or race. This music strikes me as the same crappy Scandinavian trippy shit as Bjork. Not particularly good music, but enjoyable if you're tripping on some drug.
@TKMSeznam12 Are you aware that "Scandinavia" isn't one country? It's made up of many countries all with individual differences in language, accent and government. There are similarities obviously because of their ancestry. Similar to the way the States has thousands of variations of an "American accent". That was the point of my Elvis/Axel Rose and Bjork/Karin analogy. I wasn't suggesting that Americans are the same as Scandinavians, that would be an absurd, ignorant and lazy generalisation.
@settheraytojimmy DEAR G_D(dess)! An intelligent comment! I'm so glad I'm not the only person who thinks comparing Karin to Bjork (or Fever Ray to Reznor) makes no sense whatsoever!
