Totally agree with Richard about the thylacine's killing abilities. I have also read the accounts of a thylacine killing a bull terrier by biting through its skull, and the collie in the photo of the thylacine killed by Wilf Batty clearly shows an animal quite afraid of the thylacine carcass. I believe Batty's dog ran off when the carcass was brought to his house, and they didn't return for several days.
