@castelgandalf well these theories have lots of testable merits to them, if they didn't scientists would have dumped them ages ago, we are on the way of testing the existence of sparticles through particle accelerators and we are going to send lisa nd the big bang observer to test the models of the big bang including ones that include string theory, and we are seeking to find other dimensions through investigating the inverse square law at millimeter scale
@castelgandalf also we are investigating dark matter which m theory makes a lot of testable predictions about, and there is a tiny probability that we might find super strings that have been blown up to astronomical proportions and directly test string theory

I think the whole theory of god is cool even if most people dont think he exists. I mean think about it, dont kill, dont steal, dont sleep wit my dam wife it all sounds pretty fair to me. @TRborn1 god didnt make use not but we don't always become ill through the choices that we make. for example my friend's father passed away from heart attack and he was a man who always ate right, excersized daily, and participated in a rugby club on weekends. And our choices in life shouldn't be whether or not we are praising a God but whether or not we are a good and decent person and if you actually read the bible it promotes revolting things including bringing people down i.e.gays

Surely an all powerful all knowing God has the ability to choose not to look into our personal futures? The Bible is full of cases where he directly offers a choice in matters. Duetoronomy 11:26-28 is a good example of this. I think,god offers us the dignity and respect of making our own choices thereby defining our own futures,,not forgetting that our choices have repercussions. I believe we DO have free will and our futures are NOT pre-destined by god. An illustration, if we hire out a movie to watch we have the power to skip to the last scene of the movie to see if the guy ends up with the girl. I puke from this kind of rationalization. Religion is about logical fallacies. In adition, someone else made up their mind for them. Can't expect them to make up their own. They have (/can) not come to the conclution that faith is rational through reasonable logical arguments; we can therefore not expect them to change their minds if we only use reasonable logical arguments. This is not something they value. Faith is and must be a virtue for those that value intellectual treason.

I don't sit there thinking about the far side of the moon. I believe there is a moon, but I believe in multi-verse theory and other dimensions. Parallel realities and so on.
I'm not one who has to have a scientist tell me what I can believe and what I can't.
They are usually behind the time anyways because something has to exist before hand in order for them to prove it does.

BTW i posted the cosmic background radiation (COBE, WMAP) to 1helpingmany as evidence for the big bang. (read the answer :D)
