i just bought civ 5 and i havent played the earlier games on pc, i briefly tried a demo of the xbox 360 one in the past and liked it. so youre videos will be very helpfull to me being a noob. thanks for making these and explaining as you play.
Ottoman ability is so bad compared to that of Japan etc. wtf .. they should have given us a + in siege or more fanatic warriors or something like that ... wtf the ability is only good for early sea exploration
marathon is long, really long. it actually makes it easier in my opinion because you can explore the land earlier on and you have longer to make decisions and you have time to plan everything out. it's fun.
What I love about Civ 4 is that you're guiding a civilization. And unlike other strategy games, you're not restricted to go kill everyone else in brutal/slightly less brutal ways. You can make friends with them and create a space ship together! I'm also a fan of space ships.
To me Civ 4, is hands down the best turn based strategy game I have ever seen/played/touched/heard about all that jazz. What I like specifically about it is probably the possibility that I can pretty much create a Utopian society with my most trusted friends and we won't ever try to conquer one another. Especially since the diplomatic AI in that game is way better than V's, considering they get pissed at you no matter what you do to strength relations.
I've played the first Civ and then the Alpha Centauri spin-offs or whatever you want to call them. I liked those quite a bit, still play them from time to time. For whatever reason, I didn't really get into Civ 2-4 much. Good things have been said about Civ5, though, so I might give it a try depending on how it looks in your let's play. :)
@YourGamingHub It's true, the sheer awesomeness that this game brings will be hard to explain... I mean how do you contain such things in one let's play?

I prefer Civ 4 over 5. But I'm probably going to buy Civ 5 when it goes on sale.

@greyjeth Btw the bad diplomatic AI I was referring to, is about Civ V not IV.
