@79Testo this was just after he'd left hospital from being shot by Junior. Tony was feeling weak and inferior because he'd put on weight and hadn't been well. He used this opportunity to exert his force and make himself (supposedly) feel better. He threw up because he still wasn't well, if you notice he's actually vomiting blood.

@dinkhead1 That's a brilliant analysis! I will say one thing The Sopranos was without a doubt one of the most brilliant shows in TV History. I found kind of ironic was that he's not too crazy about African Americans but he's listening to some Old School Doo Wop.

@dinkhead1 You know that's a very good point. I watched the Show but I never went through Episdoe after Episode like you may have. I just remember that they played alot of R & B from The Chi Lites, Smokey Robinson and God knows who else. Also, didn't Tony's Father Johnny run a Nightclub in Harlem back in the day and wasn't one of Tony's Friends in The Music Business where her Grandson was trying to get back Royalties for Recordinngs

@laminage i don't remember the night club thing, but yeah it was tony's jewish friend hesh who the black rapper was trying to collect money from which he was spposedly owed...it's interesting though because even though tony's racist, he's also old-fashioned...take a look at this clip...yeah, tony was judgmental, but the 'i don't want you dating my daughter and your type doesn't want my son daughter your daughter' line was interesting

Paula Garces, Caitlin Van Zandt, Robert Bogue, and the biggest irony was when Carmen Santiago played Twins Jeannie and Joanie, on Guiding Light she played a Mob Boss named Carmen Santos,

@hollistergangster17 first i want to say that "hollister gangster" - is an oxymoron. and Tony had just gotten out of the coma and was still a bit sick. having that muscular bodyguard taking care of him made him looked weak, he basically beat up for no legit reason, he did it just to show that the coma didnt affect him and that he's still a tough guy.

I remember watching this scene isnt this not long after tony got out of the hospital? thats why he threw up after the fight. but I was wondering why was tony fighting this dark looking black guy in the first place? why the fuck is there a black guy in the Italian mafia? he looks half white so is he half Italian and half black? maybe that is why Tony calls him a mutt? @79Testo this was just after he'd left hospital from being shot by Junior. Tony was feeling weak and inferior because he'd put on weight and hadn't been well. He used this opportunity to exert his force and make himself (supposedly) feel better. He threw up because he still wasn't well, if you notice he's actually vomiting blood.
This is all my own interpretation, might be others that have a better analysis of the scene
