@raginroadrunner They are rated @ 28" for full poundage but go past that you start increasing poundage on the bow itself. I have shot quite a few Bear recurve bows, from people who has a 30-32" draw and they all use Bear recurves.
@raginroadrunner I have no idea what you are talking about, these are not compounds they do not have draw stops, there is only one cable. therefore you can overdraw a recurve, past the rating of the bow. Ie, 55Lbs @ 28".
@Dragon7231 ..Uh like I have been shooting for over 50 years..all types of archery..a mold jig for a recurve can be made with laminations placed in such a fashion as to cause limb deflection to stop at a certain point.. trust me it can be done.Thanks...
I seen them and they helped me in many ways to be a better shot and even helped me find what I'm doing wrong.. Worth the money ... Sear ebay or the traditional forums.. many used DVD sets available..
So...who makes the best recurve/longbow that is smooth, does not kick and draws back to 30" without stakking up???..if there is one out there I haven't found it in 40 years...most are over priced pieces of junk...hopefully someone knows of one ..if so..please let me know...
@raginroadrunner Jeffery Archery.I've been shooting the same Jeffery Archery 70lb draw recurve for the last 17 yrs and i wouldn't have anything else unless I made one myself one day. They're a little high but my bow shoots smoother and quieter and with the least amount of hand shock of any bow I've ever shot.I'm a third generation traditional archer so I've seen and shot just about everything there is to shoot. If your serious about shooting your gonna spend a little anyways.
When they said "you can be a top knotch shooter!"
I imagined Ernest P. Worrell stopping and pointing to himself in awe!

@s0v13tRaz3r...uh..like you apparently have a problem..like maybe a 100mg of thorazine would help...or..just grin and bear it.

I bet it can be done, but bear bows do not normally have that limitation. at least all the ones I have shot.

Fred's bows stop at 28' draw. That was the only problem.
