It meant....HE WAS ASHAMED OF LYING FOR THE ARDENT NAZI VON BRAUN'S FRAUDULENT APOLLO MISSIONS. PERIOD.
The celebrity bullsiht lie this idiot is trying to push, is bullshit!
Another wonderful propaganda spewing moron, on camera, explaining how much he hates telling about his experiences.
Listen dickweed, if taxpayer money is expensing your space exploits, you owe it to them to relate concise, and believable details about those experiences.
Interesting interview .. It sound like he's covering for the many inconsistancies and contradictions in the astronaut's space trip stories, along with their reluctance to be more public about their suppossed experiences and accomplishments.
His "been there, done that", "had the T-shirt" attitude seems odd.. So does his admitting to "making things up."
@straydog02 Yea, and if he idiot really hates relaying his taxpayer financed experiences so much, why the hell did he do the interview in the first place. Sure he liked this guy enough, he didn't ask any tough, insightful, and poignant questions.
This proganda campaign to keep the Apollo lie alive is pathetic. Really!
Rusty is an intelligent, funny guy. I respect his attitude and that of Neil Armstrong. They gave a lot to this country, more that most Americans know, and I am thankful for that. They sacrificed their time with their families to fulfill the dream of putting a man on the moon. Rusty's mission was critical. He had to test the Lunar Module with no heat shield for the very first time. If the mission failed, he could have died. So he deserves credit.
Neil isn't nervous, he's just upset that he's been living a lie since 1969.

This guy Schweickart is not one of the better astronauts. He got really sick on Apollo 9 to the point where he couldn't even function.

To be clear: John Glenn was the first American to orbit; however, Alan Shepard was the first American in space.
