Bill Fletcher was about to say that although white people may respond and support what obama is saying, when it comes to election day, many of those people may vote mccain because they subconsciouly, or consciously don't want a black president. before you say that sounds rediculous, it has happened in history. a black canidate running for office was ahead in the polls, but on election day lost. not sure which race but my social problems professor told us about that.

I am not against Obama, but I don't know if I am for him either. I know you have to have the "elites" approval to even run for president, let alone be nominated. This is typical. Anti-immigration proponents (like dobbs) latch on to the NAU conspiracy and some how attach the illegal immigration issue to the "NAU". They then blame it on elitists, when in fact its a lobbying effort to make trade easier with our neighbors. the majority of american debt can be placed on 3 presidents. Bush Senior, Bush Jr, and ronald reagan. This is a huge problem, but using this as some kind of proof for an Amero is being intellectually dishonest. If a connection can't be made, if proof can't be found - you have a hunch - and its a hunch worse than people thinking the world was flat (because at least in most cases you cannot perceive the curvature of the earth).

Oddly, "more of the same" does not mean he is "just like" McCain. McCain is on a number of prescription drugs, his VP is a dominionist, etc. McCain is just learning how to use email, Obama is from the present.

I am not sure how much of the under pinning question of Obama and his identity is race as opposed to xenophobia. He is so different to the standard model of what people are accustomed to thinking a President is that we collectively are having a difficult time seeing him in the roll. Clearly he is American, and is qualified to lead, but this is a new leadership. I think we must have faith in voters. We must believe they will set aside prejudice and racism for realism. Obama is ready to lead.
