I think I was still pretty fast at 34 seconds in, there were so many I though "wait a sec, I never buffer!" I think it would be better if they gradually increased in frequency, it was mostly the "suddenly buffer twice within 5 seconds" that jarred me.

Watching everything fullscreen by default hides the bar as well :P
