I've edited configuration.php but I can't seem to find where to change this. Please help!

  • Hi, how do you log in to the backend administrator, i.e. what admin and password do you use to log in? Thanks in advance.

  • @bigsalizzle you type 'admin' for the username which is the default and the password you chose.

  • @melpa04 i made the password admin as well. Obviously if you move this to a production server you would need to have a better passsword.

  • did you download it into your htdocs folder and is it the latest version of joomla?please make sure your apache server and mysql are running.

  • I did the same as you. I think I am running PHP 5.3 and it is not compatible.

I will try to install an older xampp version. Thank you a lot for you video

  • Now eveything is OK. Instaled xampp 1.7. Thanks again

  • ive confuse with the last part of the password. i typed admin as my username and leave the password blank due to the installation section you have told, but cant login.

  • to connect to your database, you make the username as root and leave the password blank.

when you set up the password to connect to the administrator section of your site, you must add a password.

  • glad i could help.

  • Thank you so much! I was having the hardest time with WAMP and I think you solved it for me. I wasn't leaving the password section blank. THANKS AGAIN!
