UCP sounds like a wonderful place, the children in this video are so inspiring and strong. There is always hope and they just proved that to me. People with special needs are some of the most inspirational people around. My son can not walk or talk ,things most of us take or granted yet he is one of the happiest, kindest human beings you could ever meet. It is a shame some people are so ignorant and cruel. Having a special needs child can happen to anyone including people who believe in Jesus and live according to His word. The Jesus I know spent time with those with disabilities and did not shun them. True Christians do the same.

I think it is an excellent video and not overly dramatic. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and we do not want people to feel bad for her. We want people to understand the emotions and hopes that we as her family have for her. Unless you are familiar with CP you really have no idea what you are talking about. Th3Concluion many people with CP are only physically disabled and go on to graduate from college. Obviously you are what is wrong with society. Oh, and only idiots use the word retard.

I think this is a good picture of special education in the perfect world. Unfortunately, most of us have to deal with an imperfect system. It is my responsibility to do my homework and learn the things I must know to help my son. I have become his teacher, nurse, therapists, and advocate, because I had to, no excuses, and no fairytale classrooms. There is nothing one(therapist) can do that another(parent) cannot do. It seems sending your kid elsewhere is the easy way out.
