  • You should have changed the goddam BG color and the sky color to make it look more interesting -.-

  • its not really dark

  • holy shit

  • i h8 those groundhogs- or watever that rush at u trying to get 2 u. and i want to see someone collect all the dragon coins...

  • This seems quite easy to be thruthful

  • I have to say, that stage looks impossible to beat for an average skilled player such as myself. How long does it take for you to make a stage like this, and then perfect it to peak difficulty?

  • You should turn on sprite buoyancy, and lower the goal post at the end by 1 (decrease its Z order so it appears behind the blocks).

Also, it's just sort of lazy to make a stage that's like 90% blocks.

Also, you should edit the pallets or something so the lava isn't grey.

  • Oh, I know about the lava color change. I deliberately left it grey.

What is sprite buoyancy? And for some reason, the goalpost always has the graphic glitch in it.

    Thanks for the advice.

  • you COULD just lower the goal post so where it overlaps the cement blocks, and then drag the cement blocks back over the glitched part and it'll cover it, tis what I do.

  • Or just assemble it yourself using the Map16 page. It's a bit hard to determine how high it should be though.

  • @PerfectGenius23 1. I agree, need to put more actualy ground than blocks

    2. Doesn't really seem like a forest.... more like a "Mud Field"

    3. The reason behind the glitch is because: You have to put the bottom lined up with the ground and put it behind the ground (press -)

  • try to plant your goal post in the ground and change palates to get the lava to have a normal colour

  • Fun level, but doesn't look super hard.

  • Not hard, more like really annoying.

  • This looks like a pretty cool ROM hack, not borderline impossible like damn Kaizo Mario World, but still looks like a challenge.

  • You know that you can edit level names, right? Please take the time to rename the level "Dark Forest". And 1:44 was really unfair. All in all, good job.

  • Right. I'm doing this in steps. First I wanted to mess around with design, then I'll go from there. And why was 1:44 unfair? This hack has a long way to go before it can be playable to others.

  • enjoyed it!

  • Damn, do you have any nails left from biting?

  • I like super mario 2 better. But I can deal with this.

  • Awesome. The part with the piranha plants was especially crazy, but very cool level overall.

  • btw next time you make a hack level like this, post your first attempt if you want to, i want to see how you did on your first try :P

  • You'll see the 'Game Over' sign at least ten times.

Most of my deaths are for testing. It makes me edit the level better.

  • lol i want to try this level so badly, i want to see how many times i would die before i pass it :P

  • Did you ever go to SWMcentral?

  • well....no lol :P

  • Interesting use of Spin Jump requirement.

  • very creative mario stage, I like it.

  • Is there any real difference to having gray water?

  • That's not gray water.

That's gray lava. So I miss = instant death.

  • I'd say it's tar. Either way, yeah, instant death.

  • the end was kinda cheap

  • Yea, but it needed something crazy. I orginally had the stage end after the plant hop, but it felt anticlimatic. So I thought I'd end the stage with what started the stage. This stage is more about reflexes.

  • yea i can see i didnt notice the beginin
