Oh mais ce n'est pas la musique de ce film dans cette bande annonce, c'est la musique du film "INDECENT PROPOSAL" composée par John Barry mais c'est beau quand même comme ce film
I saw "Buck" a few days ago and watching this trailer almost made me ill with its confected sentimentality and saccharine score. The documentary was authentic and compelling, the trailer for Horse Whisperer is almost a parody of vapid, Hollywood dross by comparison. The choice is yours to make.
@cilliangreene Im australian u shit dont dare say anything to ANYONE like wat u said to chloe or about australians and u should just get the fuck over yourself, ur such an asshole
This film is honestly in my top ten!! It's great movie and i have it on DVD and i can watch it over and over again and it never gets old ! Truly admirable.
Everyone should go see Buck, a new movie/documentary out about the man who began "Horse Whispering" in western America. Truly an inspiration, and it will teach you so much about life, honesty, and yes of course communicating with horses.
name of this movie and the thing that i though this is chick movie made me avoid this movie many years but when i finally watch it i really had hard time to keep tears away..really touching movie..redford really has magical touch on movies
There were a couple things in the book I didnt like, such as the wife cheating on her husband, but I do appreciate the concept of the novel. Hope the movies better, I haven't watched it yet :)
Shadow went blind in 2007 when he turned 13 but i was his guide for him seeing where the stable is, where the lake his and where his favourite resting spot is. He is also good friends with Amber, Another horse who is a wonderful friend of mine. Shadow is now 16 and He still holds a very special place in my heart.
When i was ten, My grandmother's friend and i adopted Shadow. A 16 hh jet black thoroughbred gelding who was a failed racehorse and was abused horribly and was extremely malnourished. I secretly took photos of him being abused while the owner wasn't looking to give evidence and there was a battle in court for the abuser of Shadow. Shadow's owner was sent to jail and we adopted him. Shadow went to the stable and Shadow and i developed an unbreakable bond. (Continued Next Comment)
The truth is that all this looks DISGUSTINGLY selfish at one moment... once seeing a taming of a young horse, a girl is shocked, bursts into tears "Oh! How cruel! How cruel that is! Such a beautiful animal!" turns away, goes to her OWN horse, bridled and saddled (in exactly the same way years ago) and calmly rides away. So what makes a difference between the feelings of the horse broken NOW and the horse broken to be saddled and bridled years ago???
I hated this book... that mom cheats on her husband with the dude! And! he goes off and kills himself! it was horrible in my humble opinion. Anyone know if the movie is just as bad? I'd hate to waste my time.... :( I love horses, but man, people got issues!
@Jakathera The movie is pretty faithful to the book, but the ending is different. In my opinion, the book is very good...Let's just say that the film has a more Hollywood ending.
@888HeRa888 It's been forever since I've seen the movie, but I'm pretty sure Pilgrim is the horse being healed, right? He's a chestnut QH. Usually you can tell a QH by there larger rear haunches for sprint speed, and a stocky, muscular build. Thoroughbreds are usually more geared towards the front shoulder muscles.
This is a wonderful movie, I tried to learn riding when I was young but I fell of and since then I've always been very afraid of horses - but watching this movie is like having a source of hope that one day I can get back on one because that is what I really want.
It's very moving & Redford did a great job, it's one of my favorite movies.
My all time favorite movie ever made. I can relate to some of the issues in this movie. After watching it at least a dozen times since its release, I still cannot ever watch it too many times. Thank you Robert Redford, who I've adored for many years, thank you for this masterpiece, and thank you Tom Newman, for the spectacular soundtrack. God Bless everyone who had anything to do with the making of this film.
@ILPonies99 its a load of rubbish! the horse changes about 6 times through out the film, and it's incredibly unrealistic, it focuses more on the girls bad attitude and the relationship between the whisperer and the mum not the actual natural horse man ship
@speedstertje Yes, this movie isn't a typical horse movie. The main theme is, that the horse and the girl are connected because of a tragic accident. And they are the only ones to understand what each other have been through. They have to work their pain out together. It is a beautiful movie with a large audience, I don't think you will be dissapointed :-)
A horse I adopted in my teens taught me about world peace. Star was a broken-down show horse -- abused, starving, and angry. I saw myself in him. After paying his ransom, I took him to the wilderness, loosened the reins, hung onto his mane for dear life, and just let him run! After a year of getting to choose his own path through the wilderness, Star became as gentle as a dove. He regained his peaceful free spirit, and so did I. He taught me the importance of freedom in achieving world peace.
@eastariel thats really amazing im glad to hear your story and thank you and everyone else who understands abused horses... all they want is to be loved their just scared to love back for fear of being beaten. im sure he was a great show horse but never had the feeling of freedom! thanks for sharing
@Trinitysx Humble, lovin, charismatic, peacefull, wise people learns even from the cats, forests, children, rivers, smiles, books, bears, trival wisdoms, the way somebody walk, talk, think, the way an animal moves, talk with their body language, does... Even an ocean, even the way a leaf falls, even a dawnin can make the best minds, hearts & persons learn & create. ^^
@eastariel Mister Ed talks to me all the time, especially through my dreamcatcher when I am asleep. My purpose in life -- I help horses with people problems.
@eastariel great story, where i take horse riding lessons there was a 14 hh jet black pony named Ebony. She was abused very badly by her past owners and she bit and kicked at everyone. everyone at the barn was scared of her and only three people EVER (including me) ever gave the mare a chance. because of tht she was sold :( it bugs me cause i kno tht mare was so beautiful and if only more people would have taken the chance with her she could ahve been great
That is so harsh, i have a horse and at school sometimes i can get bullied about 'supposedly' doing that, its really hurtful and this is by my friends, so take that comment back because being bullied by a stranger, thats just cowardly and stupid.
dont you even DARE use my name, you have no right.
people like me? mate you dont no the first THING about me. And dont about my dad like that, and i'm not rich, i cant afford most things let alone a horse. Ha, you probably get pleasure from bullying your way round youtube, and you no what . I DONT CARE. So go and have fun wasting your time. Dont cry to me about it.
Guys, if you didn't like the book or the movie why the hell would you search it upon YouTube just to tell us about it? Seems like you have nothin better to do with your lives.
I myself liked the book and the movie. Certainly not the nes horse story I've ever heard, but definitely worth the watch.
thank christ i have never watched that film. however, i will never get back the 2m and 04 secs that i spent watching that trailer and the other mintute i spent writing this. Looks like absolute bottom gravy of the highest calibre
im reading the book at the moment, im up to page 81 but I already love it,it's so sad though! I used to go horse-riding when i was younger and i remember falling off my horse xD I didnt suffer too serious injuries fortunately :]
Scarlett Johannson is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS in this movie omg but she still is obviously i remember seeing this in the movies and thinking that girl is gorgeous
What a great film - Robert redford was very convincng like always as Tom Booker and he directed it in a very talented way. The other actors are great too. When you watch this film, you feel something special and that's all the point and make you think too.
i remember watching this when i was small, it is the first time i've seen Scarlett and later on when i saw Scarlett grown i couldn't believe it was her cause she seemed like such a tom-boy in that movie. anyway great movie i loved it.
is scarlet johenson in dis movie? 'cause the girl playing grace sure looks like her but i may be wrong. any way i am reading the book right now if am lucky i may get to watch the movie too! luv the book so far(:
get over it. I wasn't really talking to you anyway. If you don't want the movie/story to be ruined DON'T READ THE COMMENTS! Easy and simple solution. Don't bitch to me about it
really? i wonder why they changed something like that! it would ov been just as easy to keep that the same as the book! lol. even tho film Pilgrim is a beautiful horse!
love this film, its such a great story. it always makes me cry though, i love my horse so much and its wonderfuly seeing a bond similar to mine with my horse, between human and horse in a movie. <3
the book is ten times better than the movie, although that always seems to be the case, i was glad they kept most of the quotes and the attention to detail is great! like the dress annie wears.
Favorite blooper: The young girl is about to get driving lessons. As she goes to get in the truck, you can see a cattle prod in the gunrack inside the pickup truck. When the camera changes to the interior, the prod is gone, heheh
I think it's a rifle actually, but you're correct.
There's quite a few continuity boo-boos in the movie, you just have to try and overlook them. Spectacular movie nevertheless, and amazing cinematography. Feels like you could just step into the screen and into the Montana countryside.
I'm reading the book now. It's great! It is darker than the movie and more of it centers around Grace and her horse(I only have read a few chapters) I think the book is almost better. I also think they cut out a lot of the stuff about Grace because she is being played by someone who is able bodied and Grace after the accident has one leg.
One of the most beautifull movies ever ...

I don't mind three hour movies, I like Robert Redford and I like horses but this movie was so BORING that I walked out halfway through.

It sucks that they didn't really follow the book. Like the ending. They are like two different things with the same name.

wolfblood11 2 years ago
really? i wonder why they changed something like that! it would ov been just as easy to keep that the same as the book! lol. even tho film Pilgrim is a beautiful horse!
in the movie wasnt Gulliver a dark bay?
xOLauraJaneOx 2 years ago
love this film, its such a great story. it always makes me cry though, i love my horse so much and its wonderfuly seeing a bond similar to mine with my horse, between human and horse in a movie. <3

Thanks for sharing as this was a touching movie. :)

the book is ten times better than the movie, although that always seems to be the case, i was glad they kept most of the quotes and the attention to detail is great! like the dress annie wears.

Favorite blooper: The young girl is about to get driving lessons. As she goes to get in the truck, you can see a cattle prod in the gunrack inside the pickup truck. When the camera changes to the interior, the prod is gone, heheh
mikedilv 2 years ago
I think it's a rifle actually, but you're correct.
There's quite a few continuity boo-boos in the movie, you just have to try and overlook them. Spectacular movie nevertheless, and amazing cinematography. Feels like you could just step into the screen and into the Montana countryside.
Definitely one of my favourites.

I have to read this book! I've watched the movie, it was very great and emotional<3
FasusStar 2 years ago
I'm reading the book now. It's great! It is darker than the movie and more of it centers around Grace and her horse(I only have read a few chapters) I think the book is almost better. I also think they cut out a lot of the stuff about Grace because she is being played by someone who is able bodied and Grace after the accident has one leg.

This movie is extremely beautiful, along with the book.
The only thing that I didn't like about it was the fact that they focues more on the mother and horse whisperer's relationship rathe
