  • 100k francs??!! where the hell does mac get that kind of money??!!

  • i hate these long ass intros! season 1 intro was the best! the rest suck ass!

  • @MsAmbrosia29 LMAO!

  • good episode

  • Longtime fan of the Highlander franchise, first time seeing this episode and it was awesome.

My viking forefathers hail from Denmark, and I'm proud of it!

  • Somehow this episode feels epic, no matter what. :]

  • Can someone tell me the name of that scotish song that is playing in this episode please. thanks

  • Loreena McKennitt- Bonnie Portmore

  • @lauriej100

its called "Bonny Portmore" as RomenPrince stated

  • omigod. Scott McNiel again

  • I did not notice this until now, but Debra Campbell, Duncan's love, also plays Andrea on The Walking Dead, haha.

  • DUNCAN GOT LUCKY IN THEIR FIRST FIGHT BUT AFTER 400 YEARS OF PRACTICE AND EXPERIANCE HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING IN THE SECOND FIGHT.

  • THE CAMPBELLS WERE SOUTHERN LOWLANDERS AND THEREFORE AS LIKE THE ENGLISH AS POSSIBLE, THE MACLOUDS WERE NORTHERN HIGHLANDERS AND WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN ALONG WITH ANY LOWLANDERS, CAMPBELL OR OTHERWISE.

  • @texasgungeek whit do ye know blue gumz

  • Scotland has terrible weather mates.

  • @NoDestinyLive4Now It looks terrible yes. It looks like you'd need a sweater even in August. Beautiful place but depressing at the same time.

    (I'm a summer/warm weather guy).

  • @mrsparkle001 you have never walked the mountains in glenfinnen i have breathtaking and never depressing try it

  • The guy bidding against Duncan played Roland the guy who tried to kill Duncan as a child and had the gift to control people with his voice.

  • Gawd. This show has so many beautiful men!!!

  • @heathen1392 AND BEAUTIFUL WOMEN!!!!

  • damm i'm so in love with this episode ,""" he came back from the dead kill the viking and stopped the slaugther """""

  • Some ax, it didnt rust or rot out

  • @CountryGnome Marto of Spain, stainless steel and resin handle, haha

  • Oh, how I love this episode. Love the song too... This episode is so highlander... I'm speechless...

  • I dig this new opening credit sequence.

  • before he ever sid it i had the feeling th axe was buried with his father.

  • That Axe is a piece of art.

  • Wow, does anybody noticed that this one was directed by Adrian Paul?

  • Very good, Bonny Portmore was wonderful and finally we see the landscape which is the home of Duncan.

  • @gs032009 they have boat tours through loch shiel, and the start from the bottom and go up to glenfinnen.

    i

  • "HE KILLED MY FATHER!"

McLeod killed for revenge? Oh how interesting. I thought he was against that! Aww.

  • @fablan6 He does kill for revenge. He doesn't kill for sport or for no reason. He only kills when he's challeged or for revenge.

  • @Roadvirus1 That's my point. When others (immortals mostly) want to kill for revenge he gets in their business and ruins their plans cause "killing for revenge is not going to bring things back as they were" and other crap like that. But he can do it whenever he wants. This hypocrisy and "holier than thou" attitude of his gets on my nerves some times. He some times even kills vigilantes for going after bad guys who did something wrong and is more than ready to leave the bad guys in peace.

  • It is bk dude it started Feb 11 on the Horror Channel this yr in Uk an Ire :p but im sorry if u cant see it :/

  • THE BLOOD EAGLE IS DONE BY CUTTING THE RIBS BY THE SPINE,BREAKING THE RIBS SO THAT THEY RESEMBLE BLOODY WINGS,PULLING THE LUNGS OUT AND THEN SPRINKLING SALT IN THE WOUND.

  • THE CAMPBELLS ARE A CLAN FROM THE SOUTHERN LOWLANDS,MOST LOWLAND SCOTS OF THAT TIME TRIED TO BE AS MUCHLIKE THE ENGLISH AS POSSIBLE AND THEREFORE DID NOT GET ALONG WITH THE HIGHLANDERS. LT COL. JOHN CAMPBELL,5TH DUKE OF ARGYLL, COMMANDED THE 21ST ROYAL SCOTS FUSILERS OF THE BRITISH ARMY AT THE BATTLE OF CULLODEN MOOR 1746

  • duncan is a real asshole sometimes from i just heard it sounded something like this "I will not respect your religion or you ways of life because they are different from mine so u are not getting a weapon you think is sacred" what an asshole

  • Strictly speaking, they're NOT blood-related, they totally could have boned and it wouldn't have been weird.

  • @BrianFoxVideo I guess they did not know Duncan was a foundling and not a Macleod by blood.

  • Who the hell disliked this video?

  • Adrian Paul, an accomplished actor and director as we see in this episode.

    It's one of my favorites!

  • If they were real and they did live in this day and age I think they would be more into technology then we would, They would see the birth of it,

  • I held that exact MacLeod claymore in L.A.

    Heavy.

  • This episode is my favorite of all of them.!

  • My FAVORITE episode !!!!! Me too i want to horseride in the moors, with that music on the background !!!

  • One of the best episodes of all the seasons. Hope Highlander the series comes back soon, miss it.

  • Probably the most satisfying Quickening of Duncan's life.

  • great episode

  • I love how Duncan slags her faulty accent.

("American schools"). I guess the writers had to find a way to rationalise hiring a non-Scottish actress to play a bogtrotting highlander.

  • glenfinnan on the shores of loch shiel just in case we confused it with the glenfinnan in mongolia.

  • @swastikausa lol

  • @swastikausa Easily done! Now if only Charles Stuart had gone to Mongolia!

  • hed have a much harder time getting drunk every night and buggering boys.

  • kanwulf is one of the best bad guys. but what the hell was he doing in scotland when duncan was young. by then the viking age was well over.

  • This is with out a doubt one of my favorites. I am so greatful you posted it. Other wise I would have to dig out my VHS complete series of the Highland and look for this...thanks again.

  • Damn, Im impressed, they really put in major production power in this season.

  • Yay! New Intro lol, I thought the last guy sounded like he was at a bar getting sloshed when he said "Born in the highlands of Scottland" lol

  • @OneFiveDoor Umm, the same actor voiced the intro for seasons 2-6.

  • @PatTheNESpunk it might be the same voice with the intro of voltron...hahaha

  • @OneFiveDoor It's Jim Byrnes who narrates the intros, aka Joe Dawson, Duncan's watcher; or the guy with the cane for those who haven't seen any other episodes.

  • funny on 9:16 it's like the old west haha

  • I'm going here on vacation this fall... I love this episode it is one of my top 5!

  • Maybe I`ll go here on vacation.

  • One of the best episodes from the series along with episode 1 from Season 1!

  • Actually the show is on at least for me on Tuesday and Thursday at 11pm on i think Syfy

  • does anyone know what the song is called?

  • @spawn89ce

    Song name: Bonnie Portmore

Artist: many various artists have sang this

  • it doesnt matter if Mac is using a katana, a claymore, or a 5 dollar footlong from Subway, if you get in his way hes gonna take your head, and then maybe chow down..........

  • Adrian Paul directed this episode himself. Perhaps that's why it was such a good episode.

  • he kill him in holly ground!! still

  • Great episode! Definitely on my fav list now!

  • all the pale, earthy coloured scenery shots were made in Scotland while the lush green stuff was shot on location in Canada. judging only from these few minutes Scotland has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth... I guess I'd be totally spechless in awe if I'd be there.

  • @PsychoWedge just remember to go in the summer.winter is horrible

  • This is a fave episode of mine! I loved the whole series as much as i loved the Highlander movies!!!

  • @saddletramp1979 Rachel MacLeod IS the hottest of the hotties, there is no doubt. Such a shame Duncan is kin or he would have been all over that firey love kitten. Meow! Lol

  • O bonny Portmore, I am sorry to see

Such a woeful destruction of your ornament tree

For it stood on your shore for many's the long day

Till the long boats from Antrim came to float it away.

All the birds in the forest they bitterly weep

Saying, "Where shall we shelter, where shall we sleep?"

  • Kanwulf was one stupid viking on record !!!

  • The girl in the Inn was the best looking so far. Just sexy riding that little highland pony.

  • It's been over decade since I seen it and it still hold up. one of the best things I have ever seen on TV.

  • great episode

  • This was really a great episode, enjoyed it a lot: :-)

  • I love this episode... Well done. This show should be brought back... That would be cool

  • @bradwolf07 It would be hard to bring back this show, with all the advances in technology, Immortals hiding today would have a harder time being invisble. But I'd like to see them try.

  • @AzraelKnight True, but I'd love to see how they do manage to stay hidden

  • @bradwolf07 YES they should, but with a different immortal,Adrian Paul couldnt do it,immortals dont age,and he's lookin rather old now days.

  • @wchezem Yes, another MacLeod played by another actor...someone young. Maybe James McAvoy

  • awesome episode

  • This episode is one of the top ten best of the whole series.

  • @Roadvirus1 I gave this comment a thumbs up after 43:00.

  • This could have been the best episode ever. Apart from the (a) cod accents (b) appalling redub of the main villain. What were the production idiots thinking? Bad, bad producers. Still, love it nonetheless.

  • This is a horrible beginning, but the show's good. "may it be duncan macleod'...bleh, gag with me a spoon
