He does provide a bit of an inside voice to those older fans who think that much of what goes on sucks (like Cena's endless ramblings and pushes, the worthlessness of the embarassing DIVAs and NXT matches, etc.) but unfortunately he makes such an ass of himself in the process that even those fans he somewhat represents end up loathing him.

Cole is really good on commentary. He was good on Smackdown but when he turned heel he's so funny. Unfortunately he has to do the "WWE-style" of commentary when you just plug the main-event and talk about the same factsevery week "Santino is a 2-time IC Champ"

They both train all week and dont get to see there familys as much as they should. They both can wreslter because they are trained to do it. They both can sell a promo. Ever since he turned heel, Cole has become a commentary legend. He's filled Jerry's role as the heel on RAW very well, and he's awesome on SmackDown! when he argues with Booker T, and takes the piss.

Cole is a legend? there is a difference between being a commentator and being completely annoying.
a commentator is supposed to guide people through matches. when you can't even focus on a match because of commentary, then you know that they're terrible. Michael Cole doesn't commentate, he whines and is a complete distraction
