  • Your pergola looks amazing!! Would like to know size of wood used for the lattice panels with the ovals, how were they attached to the 8x8's??

    Thank you

    Rick

  • @rickb3500 Hi Rick,

Thank you. I carefully machine Western Red Cedar down to 1.5" x 1.5" parts using a wide belt sander and 100 grit paper. Then I dado them half the thickness and 1.5" wide. My CNC router cut mortises into the 8x8 posts. We assemble the lattice panels with epoxy in the joints - no fasteners except in the ovals where I used some teak dowels. I then epoxy the lattice panels into the posts again with no fasteners. The lattice is structural with almost perfect joints.

  • What a beautiful pergola!!!

I love those latice panels with the oval openings..

    Really, really nice!
