  • HA! Biskupin! :D Extra :D Powiem szczerze - na początku moje skakania były cholernie wyczerpujące a teraz mogę biegać i skakać bez końca - w końcu forma wyrobiona :D

  • This is like Inspector Gadget!

  • I was on these for 5 hours on the other day, still feeling the burn. lol But it was fun, going to do it every week

  • it looks so much fun :D

is it more or less exhausting then normal running? :)

  • @eclips156 it is way more exhausting, its tiring just walking in these things

  • haha its so much better wearing shorts or sweat pants other than jeans

  • to nie jest czasem na biskupinie kręcone?;>

  • @komi666 to jest jak najbardziej krecone na biskupinie :]

  • do you recommend buying this?

  • @HIMYMjocke that will be a big - YES :]

  • in the future will have nano technology that will enable us to transform our shoes to this, and get places quicker

  • There are skyrunners, sky hops, powerbocks, powerisers and many different other names

  • Little horse feet

  • we must use this at army ! xD

  • lazy :D

  • dude these look like those prosthetic running legs

  • They have multiple names

  • he looks like an avatar :D

  • Isn't it called a powerbock and not poweriser...? Where did u come up with that name anyway?

  • @MrKelerman ive always known it as a poweriser. never heard of powerbock

  • @wan2shuffle

I think the name comes from the inventor, Alexander Bock, so that's why I've heard of them as powerbocks :).

  • all the situations i wish i had these

  • No one would have taken the piss out of Forest Gump if he was wearing these.

  • momma says they're my magic shoes... LOL

  • if i get some of these, imma run down streets with 20 mph speed limits. maybe pass a a car or two

  • This guy look wiped out afrer a short run! So does it use more energy or less than regular running, more or less? I mean would it be easier for me to run my 5 miles with stilts or without? Per HylianNija's comment sounds like it is a bit of technique, I love running but I am tried of running slow and not getting anywhere.

  • r these the basic or advanced models

  • hey i which model is this? is this the kids, standard, or advanced?

  • is it legal to run the marathon in these???

  • @ItsJustRhys no its like taking a jet ski to a rowing race :P

  • @ItsJustRhys maybe a non-competitive one lol, that would be sweet *dreams of shattering the 1-hour marathon barrier* XD

  • I need to decide whether to buy powerisers or 7 league boots, does anyone know if it's worth the extra £100 for 7's? thankyou

  • Just imagine if Michael Jhonson runs at full speed wearing them....

  • you run too fast on those, and you're fucked

  • Thank you for a straight-forward demo of what these things can do without applying any tacky video editing, pointless on-screen text or tedious musical accompaniment. Now, where's my credit card? I'm about to save a fortune on petrol!!!!!

  • @metube71 **OOPS** That wasn't a reference to your 'Part 2' video by the way. No offence intended. I was referring to 90% of the other poweriser vids on here...

  • damn with powerrisers u can probaly run 3 times as fast!

  • dang I have the kids version (even though a small adults could prabably fit me) and there are two plastic straps on my leg and they really chafe me. Do the adult ones start to chafe you a little bit?

  • You run like a Avatar

  • Usain Bolt hit 21.6 mph in one of his races. Without Powerisers. Although that was sprinting. I wonder if you could go up to 22 mph with these.

  • So if you can run over 20 mph without those powerisers, I guess you can even run faster than that?

  • Any pain in the knees or back? Looking at some for long distance running but i have weak knees.

  • It seems a bit cumbersome to run with them. I wonder if it could be specifically re-designed to improve running instead of jumping, because it's what most attracts me.

  • @crim3cost same here, I want to buy them for running.

  • ...and then a dog runs out in front of you.

  • why no helmet?

  • @paronfisk

because you touch yourself at night.

  • @MrPLOXPLOXPLOX If you knew how big I was you would know what the helmet was for.

  • @paronfisk

    joke. chill out man.

  • where do i get a pair of these, do i have to order them online or can i go to some store like a walmart or something?

  • im 7 stone, does and one know if the powerisers that are 8-11 stone be fine for me?

  • @darthhobaal hahahahahahahahahaha nice ! ! ! :D:D:D:D:D

  • i live in croydon and i am sellin a pair of genuin pro powerisers. they are in brand new condition im just selling them becouse i dont have the time anymore to go on them if you are interested message me on this and will sort out price. thanks

  • @frankbillings08 How much?

  • @frankbillings08 yeah im am interested in them and if u could e amil me then i would like to k ow the price on them

  • @omgwat100 they cost like 200-600 dollars

  • yeahhhh speedeeeeeeee lol bien !

  • Once you get the "high knees" down intuitively, it's pretty easy to haul some ass. I weigh 235, and I still managed to hit 20.4 mph on flat even road the other day. The trick is building enough endurance to keep your breath while getting up to a certain speed. Once you have that high momentum, just focus on getting the spring out in front of you, and the bounce will carry your weight at that speed with no extra energy put into the jump.

  • No extra energy is a little of an exaggeration, although it's easier to run once you get up to a certain speed. The endurance rises eventually, and it's tricky - as hell. No pain, no gain.

  • @bazylator Well yeah. Exaggeration is a tool to make a verbal concept more enticing. I stayed 20~mph for almost 300 feet after my finish line doing nothing but making sure my legs were landing in the right spot. I can't jog a city block before wanting to go back to bed XD, so my "endurance" sure isn't helping on that front. Could just be the baseball type wide-leg run I've always had keeping me up, who knows. A bit hard to analyze your feet while running 20 and not die :P I'll try to get video.

  • @HylianNinja thanks very much for this golden tip, today was my first day and i was running and i noticed i couldn't run for more than 50 meters, next time i'll keep in mind that

  • i have powerizers and its pretty easy to stride but i fell and broke the wrist pads or whatever

  • öde!

  • Wer's noch nicht gemacht hat, findet's auch öde

  • voll scheisse man !

  • Damn... i imagined it would be hard to run in those... are those exactly the same as powerstilts thing? and How fast was he going?

  • i want sum!

    getting sum for xmas :D

  • he runs like fuckin forest gump dude, haha

  • meeee 2 yaaaaaaaaaaay

  • PowerSTRIDER

  • solution to get cheap ones.....ebay XD

  • poweriser makes them for $200

  • wear a helmet:)

  • the tech to make them is older and cheaper

  • A lot of people have gotten up to 25mph adverage - I can see now greatly! Good idea doing it on a bike trail to really give perception!

How tireing are these buggers? Like just jumping around, running around, messing around, at a nice even pace.

Not doing any flips tho, I dont even feel safe doing a sumersault lol.

  • damn tiring :) depends on ones stamina, but I'm completely fucked after 2 hours

  • "completely fucked after 2 hours" meaning running for 2 hours or just messing around? Sorry I probably sound like a two year old asking two many questions just wanna be sure of everything b4 I buy haha.

  • 2 hours of running, just messing around is effortless

  • Oh my fucking god I can run for two hours?! And bounce and jump and stuff all day?! Thanks SO much for the info I got all I need here, ordering em ASAP! Thanks!

  • yep - that's true, as long as fooling around is just that. Besides after sometime your body will adjust to the increased load, that depends on the time you spend on them though.

  • suck it

  • they're not stilts

  • you can run about twice as fast if you are skilled enough

  • can you run faster in powerisers than you can with normal shoes?

  • yep. I'd bet that applies to everyone. 30 km/h means around 100 m in 12s for a person who does not sprint very often :)

  • cool because i can only do 100 in 14-15s.

if someone who can run the 100 in less than ten seconds used powerisers would they still be slower?

  • umm...do you mean if some one was to compete with them or if they used powerisers? currently the world best runs at around 37km/h. Fastest poweriser users report ~45-50 km/h. Shave off the measurement method error/boast factor/*fish* effect, by maybe 15%, and you'll end up at ~38km/h (in the worst case). Since I don't know of any research in this area all off the above are just speculations made on assumptions which may be wrong :)

  • hey guys im getting some and i weigh like 155 lbs and i want tho most bounce possible im getting some advanced powerisers off of poweriser. com wich model should i get the 110-154 lbs model or 155-198 lbs. model

  • 155 lbs should be ~70 kg. In that case I'd go for the latter option namely 155-198lbs. If you choose the first one (110-154) you'll end up just at the threshold of tolerance, and as a result bottoming-out will become an issue.

  • how much are thoses

  • When these things where first made long ago the price ran at $2,000 US currency. Now? Different brands sell em differently. PoweriZers can be bought at around $329 and rise based on your weight (to get good balance and performence, they make certain models for certain weight ranges.)

The lowest ive seen are for $279 of a different brand and I know there are others for even a lower cost.

  • im getting some this wedsnday

  • good for you :)

  • these are so rad, I'm getting a pair!

  • and what is this maximum speed?

  • depends, read the forums, i'd say above 30 km/h depends on the person

  • possible the running with this the 50 km/h?

    where is the forum?

  • hi

i want buy this, but i dont know how.

    anybody can me help?

  • google it? try powerizer, poweriser, proskips.

  • how much r thos things

  • ~340 EUR, depends on the brand, probably can be bought cheaper but if it propels u to 30km/h you would *not* want it to break, would you?

  • ya cus i want some so bad i mean i have a tramplone but it ant the same

  • Comment removed

  • Wicked, i'm 14 and have the adult version, they are amazing!

  • awesome (:

just a quick question, are you like particularly tall/short for your age or are you just normal height? because im a bit shorter than average and im 13, but i want a adult pair because tbh the kids ones look shite. and are they big for you?

sorry for all the questions, id really appreciate some answer (: thank youuuuuu.

  • I'm pretty average sized, it's better to be slghtly on the heavier/taller size or they are very hard to use. I would advise the childrens version if you're an absolute beginner, but they are pretty easy to get the hang of using after a bit. I got the adult verions at Christmas 2007 after growing out of the child versions and i've literally only just grown into them, they fit now but are still pretty heavy. They are truly amazing! Good luck!

  • okay, thanks for the help (:

  • one more thing - the stilts are weight dependant not age dependant. At the time I was buying them the lowest range was 50-70kg. I've 90-120 with weight around 70kg.They're stiff like hell but the jumps are awesome

  • what are the used for?

  • fun

  • run forest run!haha

  • Hey pretty cool :)

  • hmm wath happend if you crash?

    wear helmet!!

  • If I crash I usually perform a nice concrete grind with mu knees and elbows. Looks pretty nice at top speeds :) Helmet, yes - when I'll start to do crazy jumping/flipping stuff I'll consider getting one

  • I'm really considering getting a pair of these. Any tips for a beginner?

  • im getting a pair this week. what ive learned from browsing around online in forums and stuff is make sure you tuck your knees in if you try a flip

  • yuo should wear a helmet!

  • Nicely done! Makes me want to buy a new pair. Mine broke before I could build up that much endurance... Im surpized you didnt start dragging your feet half way through. You looked pretty tired even before you started running. Great work. Those thing are freakishly fun!

  • That's why one should always bring an audience along - they always want more :)) and truth be told after two hours on these I was barely standing...

  • How fhast are wit it you? What your max speed?

  • around 25 - 30 km/h (absolute max, measured last in May 08'). But that's quite lame there're people going waayyy faster.

  • what are u on a bike?

  • nope - I'm the dude on the stilts, the guy on the bike was measuring the speed.

  • nice!

  • ty for posting! keep'm coming! nice job!

  • Nice, good stuff here!

  • How much faster can you run on these, and do they tire you out faster then just running on your feet?

  • A lot faster, and yes they are tiring like hell. Come to think about it - If I make a 100m sprint at my maximum I'll be similarly exhausted but the time is not comparable I guess about 30 - 40% faster. It's the long distance that shows the big difference. Going further than 4 km is challenging, whereas without them on I can do 4 km without breaking a sweat as they say.

  • I allways wondered if its hard to stop wile you use those? or do you have to like..fall down first?:P great vid=)

  • If you've got enough grip you can actually slow yourself down by changing your speed into height which is really cool.

Or if you meant having a break while on em, well yeah that is a bit annoying you do have to keep moving, and getting down to the ground and back up again is fun : ) Not too hard though.

  • Okay thx:) maybe im gonna buy then:D

  • I would not be very suprised if i find using these Powerisers not very exchausting at all, thanks to decently well trained legs..

But still i wonder, how fast can a person run who is really good at using these and focuses on using them particulary for just that?

It seems to me if they were not so tall, it would be considerably easier to run fast with them.. since that would allow the user to lean by a certain degree forward - without having to worry about landing on his face

  • apparantly you can run of up to speeds of 25mph

  • they make a elite style that lets ur feet adjust and lean and pivot forwards allowing u to dig in and run up to 40 mph

    aww yea ;p

  • So when are you going to show us your go on them with your 'decently well trained legs'?These things increase the weight your legs have to swing hugely. And cmon whats that rubbish about being tall? You saying short people have some magical ability to lean forward without falling over? wow!

  • oh, fuck off with your damn assumptions

  • lol easy tiger : ) I see you don't have a decently well trained tongue ^_^

  • I do have one for people that at least shows a slight share of respect for my opinions, not for idiots

  • I don't think I should respect your comment unless u can explain to me how the height of the person would affect what angle they can lean at. I mean, I explained why I don't agree with what you're saying, if u want me to side with you then just explain it to me, if your just gonna get angry I don't see why that would make me think you're not the idiot?

  • Yes, and critisizing other peoples opinions is so much more mature, give me a fucking break lol..

  • What im talking about is advanced physics in relation to how a person moves on Powerisers and in what WAY a person shares his/her weight on each fot while running in order to maintain high speed while still getting the maximum speed boost from the spring effect, it is not easy to understand.

  • With that in mind, i can't belive how much hard work, mathematic knowledge, and knowledge within physiology it must have taken to make these kind of stilts. I find it quite interesting.

  • Take a 10' pole and a 6' pole and bend them both at their middle 10 degrees, the longer pole will have more mass off of it's center making it more unbalanced. But it also depends on the speed and momentum of the runner. Pretty easy to understand when it's described right.

  • But the thing is here we're not talking about lengthening the thing that's being bent, all it is, is that the person leans forward.

I think a taller person might go faster on these simply because they are less of an increase in mass % for them.

Feel free to talk physics if you think there's something I've missed, I'm doing it at Uni.

Also in response to the idea that this took a lot of calculation I bet it actually just came out of someone's head and then many different springs were tried.

  • A taller person leaning forward has moved more mass from away from their COG, but...BUT that means nothing since their muscles will compensate for it. He assumes that a taller person is more unbalanced because of physics....you questioned him as to why because common sense tells you that physiology plays a substatial role. You should have just explained physiology to him. I'm not arguing with you, I feel bad for the guy. LOL. Yes,a taller person should haul ass because the length of their stride

  • do u need to be good at gymnastic to do the back flipping thing?

  • yes, you should be able to do a backflip from a standing position without any support. Otherwise you might get hurt - bad.

  • Do you know what brands I should consider before I get these? Im guessing powerisers are the best if i just wanna do it for fun but the problem is that i cant find any place to try these out before i order them off the internet. I just don't wanna waste my money on something I'll never use, you know?

  • well I've tried Poweriser and Powerizer - and to be honest the latter one sucks. The spring is worse and the overall design is no good. This is my personal opinion though.

  • ok, thanks alot

  • Do you mean the poweriser one with the calf cuffs isn't as good as the classic powerisers? pleeeeeeeease respond

  • poweriSer is the one with the calf cuffs - and it's way better than poweriZer (which is the one without them)

  • THANK YOU

  • you can rob a bank with thosew things! get the money and run. lol

  • lol, you might get hit by a car if you get too caught up in the moment though. That would be kind of funny to see.

  • ahaha lol yeah

  • lol ya it would be but you could also just jump over the car

  • they sound rly nice...my ones smash on the ground :S (or thats what it sounds like)

  • They're brand new so that's one thing, I've also learned that powerizers tend to clang and make a lot of noise in general, whereas powerisers are quite silent

  • how long can you run like that, exusted???

    i need some..

  • it depends on your own stmaina get some and find out...................its the only way

  • :) my absolute limit so far is 4 km of a *very* slow stride. If I try to maintain a reasonable speed it's around 1 km.

  • Dude! What's your max stride! I am definatly going to get a pair of powerisers!

  • somewhere around 25 km/h and going up :)

  • the stride can be up to 9ft
