  • Nice video, what seat number is this? i'm flying to Malaga on an A330 with Aer Lingus, choosing my seats soon.

  • how long would it take to drive

  • @mmissthangg1 - drive from Shannon to Dublin? It would probably take somewhere around 3 1/2 hours.

  • why a330?

  • why would an aircraft of that size only fly to shannon isnt that normally only an A319?

  • Comment removed

  • that engine is ge cf6

  • Im going on this aircraft next week, can't wait. Im a training pilot.

  • Why use an A330 for a 30min hop from Shannon to Dublin. Was you continuing on to the States after Dublin ??

  • I was only flying SNN-DUB, but that A330 was off to ORD after Dublin

  • Hey I flying Aer Lingus, how long is the flight from ORD Chicago to Dublin. Im going in a few weeks but due to the time difference I cant really tell how long. My ticket says 18:50 Sat to 8:30 Sun. Your answer is most appreciated.

  • I've no idea sorry, i'd say about 7 hours? thats how much it is from ORD to Manchester, UK

  • I gusse what really matters is passenger demand. I mean, this flight could of been full.

  • Were you going to fly from Dublin to America?

  • No just from Shannon to Dublin

  • Must have been kinda weird on a big plane like that on such a short hop!

  • Ah the A330, what a plane. I took off from Shannon to Boston in one. They're an awful lot more rickety than A320s when landing, but it's all in the fun of flying

  • good old shannon.. nobody better close it down since i live 20 minutes away and only ahve to be tehre 45 minutes before the gates close... i cant be bothered going to dublin...

  • thanks for the info :D

  • im flying their a330 from boston to dublin in a few days. is it a good ride?

  • This was a few years ago, but for 20 mins, i was in heaven :D

  • great video, thanks for sharing!!!!

  • i thought aer lingus would use the A320 Planes for the job.

    nice footage

  • No as it was a Shannon-Dublin-Chicago flight

  • oh ok

  • 3600+ views. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a fascination for planes taking off and landing.

  • everyone likes planes they are the best!

  • Aer lingus is the best !!!!

  • Lovely very exciting video. I particularly like Aer Lingus as I come from Dublin.

  • And you had an A330 to do Shannon - Dublin ? Damn, I only have tiny little BAE 146 each time I fly from Dublin to Paris with Air France :-(

  • the flaps look like there at a large angle

  • Flap 2 setting, normal for any takeoff

  • Jeez that was a hell of a climb. Probably not much fuel on board.

  • at least 30,000 feet from birmingham to edinburgh i'd imagine

  • That's cool, I'm flying from Birmingham International to Edinburgh on the 11th August, what do you reckon we'll get up to then?

  • well birmingham to spain is 35,000.

  • We went to 15,000ft :D

    Cheers

  • 30 minutes? Cool! What kind of altitude did you get up to?
